“Winter break”
Reviewed 15 February 2018 for a stay in January 2018

We had a very comfortable few days at Garden Cottage Notebook. The cottage was lovely and the underfloor heating a pleasant new experience! You don't expect to walk barefoot in January across a tiled floor and be lovely and warm!
The owners gave us very helpful information and directions. The cottage was well equipped, stylishly furnished and situated in a delightful garden.

Lovely warm and well furnished base from which to go out to Cambridge and other local attractions. Flat countryside - excellent walking and everything nearby. Good local shop & deli. Highly recommended!

“Wonderful cottage base for Cambridge!”
Reviewed 19 May 2017 for a stay in May 2017

We spent three nights at this delightful cottage in Haslingfield just outside Cambridge.
The cottage is a superb barn conversion which had every facility that we needed.
It is adjacent to, but private from, the thatched house of the owners (Mike and Anne) who were most welcoming and extremely helpful but gave us our own space. Mike gave us several tips including best ways of accessing Cambridge (park and ride from Trumpington worked very well and avoided heavy traffic and heavy parking costs in Cambridge).
Great amenities – very well equipped kitchen, washing machine, good WiFi and good TV reception, in floor heating, good shower and good bed. Delightful garden setting. Well stocked local store 3 minutes walk away and 10 minutes walk to an great upmarket deli.
Highly recommend as a base to see Cambridge and surrounds.

“Quiet, welcoming, comfortable and well-placed for Cambridge and countryside”
Reviewed 27 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

The owners were welcoming, friendly and helpful, without being intrusive.
The accommodation was warm, beautifully furnished and well-equipped and also very quiet. There was a lovely sheltered, sunny patio with furniture and cushions.
The local grocery shop, post office and deli were interesting and well-stocked with friendly staff and the village has a lovely community feel to it.
There are good walks from the door and the cottage is within easy driving-distance of Wimpole Hall, local villages and Cambridge itself.

“A very nice, well equiped cottage”
Reviewed 20 January 2017 for a stay in October 2016

We had a wonderfull stay here in October 2016. The location is perfect when you want to visit Cambridge. The owners were very helpfull. It was no problem that our son stayed the last night with us, because we had to get up early in the morning to go to the ferry in Harwich.
The kitchen is well equiped, the bed very good.
