Great to see that pubs can still retain their heritage and old world charm in the new century. Good beers too.

Downley Common is a lovely Chiltern location with a network of footpaths leading to Hughenden and many other places. And what better on a sunny autumn Sunday than to end our walk with a drink and lunch at this friendly, unpretentious pub. Almost hidden, it takes a little finding, and it's worth it. Real ales by Fullers with an Adnams guest beer, we tucked into a splendid Sunday roast which could not have been bettered. Very friendly service, a good mix of customers, and a proper pub atmosphere. Highly recommended!

I had a homemade steak and ale pie that was very tasty and steaming hot and my partner had the pork belly off the specials then being piggy we both had sticky toffee pudding bloody yummy it was too we will be visiting again

This was my first visit as an ordinary customer after attending a function here two years ago. I had an excellent reasonably priced lunch of chilli con carne. The beer here is outstanding. The pub has a large garden and much local wildlife including red kites overhead. It is a little hard to find but is only a few miles from the centre of High Wycombe and well worth the effort to locate.

Good pub grub available in this Fullers pub off the beaten track on Downley Common.
The pub features a number of undercover areas overlooking the garden which make for a very pleasant 'all weathers' al fresco dining experience.
The beer is Fullers with a changing guest ale available.
