“Beautiful cottage”
Reviewed 10 December 2014 for a stay in November 2014

A lovely cottage in a beautiful tranquil setting, yet very close to all local amenities and easy to get into the centre of Bristol. The property has been converted very sympathetically but has all mod cons and was very cosy. Jane and Richard are lovely hosts and looked after us very well.

“Fantastic self catering accomodation”

A welcome cake, beautiful barn with lovely thick walls, a dream stay. Wonderfully helpful hosts in an idyllic village. A great garden for the kids to enjoy. Second to none.

“Great place to stay”
Reviewed 3 August 2014 for a stay in July 2014

The Old Barn at Trymwood is a charming place to stay. The accomodation is not large but accomodates 4 adults comfortably. The place has all amenities, dishwasher, washing machine, oven, microwave, and all in excellent condition. The place was very clean. Nice flat screen TV included. Then there's the garden...magnificent...nurtured with love. Richard and Jane Pedlar, the owners, are a charming couple...there when you need them but absolutely never intruding...just right. The village itself, Westbury-on-Trym is also charming. There are good places to eat...Grupo Lounge has great food...and then there's Tesco for your daily needs. We chose Westbury-on-Trym to visit the Cotswolds, drove into Wales and visited Weston-Super-Mare. Memorable.

Liked best: Quirky detailing in the converted barn and beautiful surroundings whilst being so close to the city.
Liked least: Not amazing phone signal but I'm a London girl..and that's not the cottage's fault!

“An Oasis in the heart of the City.”
Reviewed 5 August 2013 for a stay in July 2013

A beautifully renovated period cottage which is only slightly out done by the enormous garden; a horticultural masterpiece and wonderful for children to explore. Both Garden and property are a true credit to the owners who are generous and kind, the cottage was cool and cozy and a welcome from the unusually hot English summer. With its open fireplace this would also make an ideal winter retreat.

We shall be back - however prefer to keep this cottage our secret.
