Owner description: Historic site consists of a sixteenth-century house and deer park with a nineteenth century garden. The mansion is now one of the city's most elegant event venues, hosting weddings, conferences and parties. Two onsite cafés serve wholesome food to casual visitors enjoying the parkland and outdoor pursuits.

Nice and quite with loads of deer to view. However the cafe was a little untidy and inconvenient with sky high prices to match so a must void place if we decide to come back. The home of the Bristol Air balloon show. Nice garden with a campus of art and design nearby

On a sunny midsummer's day this is the place to be. Beautifully kept green space which will take you a few visits to absorb its richness. From horse, bike and jogging tracks to golf courses this place is simply beautiful. Not only that, somewhere in mid August it holds the annual Bristol balloon festival.
Bring some water, pack your picnic basket and have yourself an awesome day off like the Mrs and I do.

An interesting and large estate with a house with formal gardens. After a walk round the houe gardens we wlked off into the estate. Large open grass areas and woods, so plenty of variety. Also a large fallow deer enclosure with plenty of deer to see. Plenty of hard tracks to follow when the ground is wet and muddy. Also saw quite a few cyclists using the estate roads so ideal for cyclists, especially for little ones! Shame the house wasn't open.

We love walking through Ashton Court grounds and often stop off at the cafe for refreshments. However, after our recent visit we’ll give it a miss next time.

It was lunch time. No staff were serving on the counter. The only staff member we could see was too busy vacuuming the cobbles in front of us to acknowledge us or indeed serve us.

I understand it is a dog friendly cafe but the noise from 3 barking dogs was unbearable. We left with empty stomachs.

Not a good advert for Ashton Court.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback, I'm sorry that on this occasion your experience wasn't great, and we will be feeding back to our team to ensure this doesn't happen again.

We do serve a lot of dog-walkers, and as you can imagine the cobbled stable floors are hard to keep clean, but nonetheless clearly a staff member should have greeted and served you when you arrived.

I hope you will come back and have a better experience next time.

Kind regards,

Ashton Court Cafe

Within the stunning parkland sits Ashton Court Mansion, you can go inside for a look around if no one is getting married, there is also a restaurant within the old stables, two large deer parks, to golf courses, off road mountain bike tracks, miniature railway, in the summer it plays host to various music festivals, Bristol international balloon fiesta and when it snows it has some excellent slopes for sledging down.
