Lovely spot

Stayed here Wednesday and Thursday night and couldn't fault it at all. Location is great...shopping centres not too far away and everything is basically within walking distance. Staff were friendly and welcoming and couldnt do enough for us. We had breakfast both mornings and the food was delicious. There was a great selection and all buffet style. We stayed in an executive suite and it was very spacious, clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. There was also robes and slippers available. The executive lounge had free drinks and canopes between 6pm and 9pm - which we made use of on our second night. The lounge had a very chilled and relaxed feeling about it which was nice. Would highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again!

Stayed here for a weekend away with friends - overall very good experience - love the breakfast and room - the only downside was 1. the pool is quite small and shallow compared to the one in Bristol Park Street 2. the bar was very busy on the 2 nights we were there

All as one would expect from a Marriott hotel, pleasant enough, good breakfast, nice staff. I wouldn't say it was really city centre, it s a little bit out from the main part of the city, but there are lots of pubs and restaurants nearby. Rooms a little tired but comfortable enough.

I am pleased to rad that you enjoyed your stay here, and that you received good customer service and a nice breakfast! Bristol's city centre does expand across a wide area, we are close to the shopping centre however the Marriott Royal is close to the waterfront.
We hope that we are able to welcome you back in the future, and please do not hesitate to contact myself directly.

Some things to consider before staying here...
1. Parking will cost you 17 pounds a day to park in the NCP car park. There is no parking at the hotel.

2. The rooms are clean but tired, no walk in showers, stand in the bath and pull a shower curtain the old fashioned way.

3. We stayed on a Saturday, the pool was so busy with kids we didn't bother. Great food selection for breakfast but was so busy the place was mayhem.

4. Beds were comfy and the TV modern but wall's in the hotel are paper thin, all night long you hear other residents coming and going.

5. Finally, the journey back to the car park at the end of your stay will take you via a stinky stairwell, through rubbish, human faeces and vomit. If you are lucky the lift will be working but i seriously suggest holding a hanky over your nose to avoid breathing in the stench.
Otherwise.... enjoy your stay.

Dear chris4sarah19,

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us at the Bristol Marriott City Centre.

We had a very busy Easter period indeed, however the pool is closed for kids from 8.00pm - as our Leisure Centre is opened until 11pm, it would have given you time to enjoy our facilities at a quieter moment.

In relation to car parking, the prices are dictated to us by the NCP and as much as we try to offer our guests a discounted parking rate, we are unable to control the prices. When aware of issues in the car park, we do inform the NCP staff so it is the most agreeable for our guests.

I hope we have the opportunity to better your experience with us on another occasion if your travels bring you back to Bristol.

Best regards,

Sophie

My husband and I recently stayed at the Marriott Bristol City Centre and were completely impressed by the outstanding service from the staff, in particular Jamie at reception- she was so friendly and helpful and really went over and above to ensure our stay was wonderful. All the little extra things this hotel do make the stay so memorable and really make you feel welcome. We will absolutely return when we are next in Bristol.
