Depending of your expectations, it can be either wonderful or a disaster! For us, it was wonderful because we wanted to get drunk and have fun. But, if you want something calm and quite, don’t go there. The staff is nice, but the property of the hostel and the smelling wasn’t at the right level.

...if you hate noise or want to just sleep. The hostel is located right on top of a club, which on the weekends (and bank hols of course) plays VERY loud music until 3am (ish). Nothing against Clubs, but rather against having an hostel on top of them!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS rooms on the lower floor unless there's really no chance of going to any other place. You get also street noise since the're no double glazed windows, which brings another problem: heating.

The staff very kindly changed my room for somewhere a bit far from the club's noise, and that's the only reason they aren't getting one point only (and also because of the 24h reception) but there was NO HEATING AT ALL in my room. Luckily it wasn't a very cold night.

The breakfast is rather poor (I had way better breakfasts in other UK hostels) but at least it's something.

For the price, well... I would recommend this place exclusively outside weekends.
Another thing about the noise coming from the club: they make it very clear when you book the room, in fairness. Matter of fact, they give free earplugs away (very nice but what if you don't hear your alarm in the morning??).

Room Tip: Highest floor possible (2nd of 3rd if there is a 3rd, I didn't check), as long as you avoid any room on the lower floor.

I stayed in this hostel for around 5 nights, as it’s a cheap and close places to stay for the things I wanted to do. First thing was, the staff was very rude, blunt and just generally un-welcoming!

After checking in the done a brief walk around but just really showed you your room and left you to guess where the rest was. Everything seemed not clean, just dirty... also like to say that there was warnings and fines for pretty much everything, for example, ‘£50 fine for leaving a door open’ or a ‘£50 fine for not ladling food’ which I do agree is a good way to make sure you’re following rules just to me seems far to much and again the staff there don’t give you any information and it’s not very polite.

Last moan, if you want to go for a quite place to stay, here is not the place, uni students who really disrespectful, music until at least 3am every night, and a fire alarm drill each morning which they don’t tell you about which can leave anyone into a panic..

Apart from all this, very local place to buses trains, and the town center.

Wifi is not free!!! you have to login and give them your data for advertising to get the wifi
The room smells
The noise is very loud because of the club, you can feel the vibration
Not a lot of english spoken
You have to pay deposit for the room key
Very large kitchen to cook in saving you money
Towel is cheap (£1) + no deposit needed
shower and toilet is ok, although it would help to get free shower gel in the shower
location is very very good. less than 5 mins walk from bus station and 6 mins from bus stop. very close to the shopping center

The hostel has people living there permanently so its not as social as it could be
