“great location and comfortable rooms”
Reviewed 20 March 2012

Bristol Blu Radisson is ideally placed to mix business with pleasure. Parking is very close to the hotel, rooms very comfortable and staff friendly and professional. I stayed for two nights for business and found the routes out of Bristol in the mornings to be clear of traffic. I didnt have breakfast at the hotel as it was quite expensive at around £17. Instead i used a cafe within a two minute walk which was morethan adequate and much cheaper.

Such a frustrating hotel - it's by all accounts everything it needs to be with a great location, modern, spacious rooms, comfy Radisson beds, good cleanliness and tasty breakfasts. However, when you are on the 13th floor (which affords wonderful views), it is REALLY frustrating when the lift call buttons don't work and you have to walk down 13 flights of stairs...in heels. There are only two lifts, which isn't exactly ideal for a hotel of this size, but isn't an easily fixable issue. However, when a guest reports to reception that the call buttons on the 13th floor aren't working, it's not exactly a big deal to get an engineer out to have a look at the software. Unfortunately this didn't happen; we carried heavy suitcases down the stairs, had a receptionist say sorry 10 times (but not do anything or offer any compensation) and won't be returning any time soon. Such a pity for what could have been a great stay in a smart hotel in a beautiful city.

Room Tip: As high as possible for the best views over the city!

Thank you very much for the review and I can not apologise enough about the lift, they are causing much Consternation for us to. The issues with the buttons was something we tried to resolve as fast as we could, alas not fast enough. it was unfortunately not a software problem.
I am sorry to hear you would not be returning to the hotel, Please feel free to contact me directly if we can have the opportunity to change your mind about us

We stayed at the Radisson for 2 nights for a weekend break in Bristol, we've visited before but stayed in a different hotel. The hotel is in a very good location for shops, restaurants and bars. The hotel check in was ok, we were asking about our rewards card we have with the Radisson and they just didn't seem to understand what and why we were asking about it, so we just left it at that. The room itself was quite old fashioned however the bathroom was very modern and clean. There were no plug sockets by the mirrors which made it quite difficult when I was trying to do my hair. Overall I would visit and stay here again but would enquire before arrival about upgrading my room, part of the reward scheme. Great views from 12th floor of the water front.

Room Tip: Upgrade to a business room, I can only assume the decor will be more upto date and thought out.

I had a stay in hotel 11 march 2012. I found it very good hotel in terms of accessibility and overall cleanliness. Staff was very co-operative and helpful. Specifically Mr Fasih Khan & co helped me a lot on getting me an India to UK adapter for my mobile charger and also helped for my travel from London to Leeds.

Recently stayed here whilst visiting for a concert at Colston Hall.
Lovely room, spotlessly clean and just so convenient for the Colston Hall.
On the Sunday it was such a short walk into the shops as well.
There are so many lovely restaurants within a short walk all along the quayside as well.
Breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice.
Would definitely stay here again.
