The Foothills Ranch retreat is in a simply fabulous setting in the Rocky Mountain foothills, with the backdrop of the majestic mountains and views across to the prairies. It's remote enough to feel you have got away from everything (and everyone), and yet it's close enough to amenities to be practical - 20 minutes to Pincher Creek and a good selection of shops, and about 30-40 minutes to Waterton National Park. The ranch house is set in its own grounds, full of wildlife (a deer and her fawn each morning during our stay), and is simple but well-appointed, with everything that you need. The owner, Sam, clearly cherishes the place and the environment, and is more than helpful - he went way beyond the call of duty to drive me to Pincher Creek to get a flat fixed. Our party of six loved the place and staying there, and consider it a real discovery. We plan to go back. Strongly recommended.
The house was set up very nice for a comfortable stay. Great stay and a very nice and quiet place. We were close to town for shopping and could spend the day in Waterton National Park. The house was set up for a easy way to have breakfast prior to leaving for the day and then we would have a late dinner. It was perfect. We were traveling with 5 adults and one child that was 14 months.
