A friend and I initially booked a yoga retreat in December. However, my mother had an accident and we had to cancel. Francesca and Luca were very supportive and helped us to get refund of the deposit, which was paid to the booking site. We rebooked the retreat with Francesca directly, which gave us some savings to offset partly the flight change fees.
This retreat far exceeded my expectations. I think it is more of a wellness retreat, with yoga, healthy eating, massage treatments, relaxing on the island and hanging out with kind, and like-minded people. Francesca and Luca are amongst the kindest and warmest people I have met. They love what they do and put the love into what they do. We are not vegetarians but we really enjoyed the home-cooked breakfasts and dinners. They were yummy and healthy. I still think about Luca’s vegan coconut carrot cake and chocolate mousse.
Our apartment is big, has 4 single beds and a large bathroom with closets. It is big enough for 4 people. The yoga studio is nicely decorated and airy. I love the fact that Luca cleans every mat after a class. There is small yard where one can sit and relax under the sun or stare up to the stars at night. We had 2 yoga teachers during our stay, one taught more Yin and the other ashtanga. I can not say that these yoga classes were the best retreat classes I have had, but they served their purposes and I enjoyed most of them. We had one class per day for 90min, so it was really not a big component of the retreat.
The three massage treatments and one pyramid treatment were of high quality and I really enjoyed them. Our hosts also recommended good places to visit and restaurants/cafes to try. Fuerteventura is a low-key but beautiful island, perfect for a relaxing holiday. Francesca and Luca added so much to our overall experience. I have already recommended this place to several friends and intend to visit the lovely hosts again in the future.
