We stayed in the green room and the yellow room both lovely and the yellow room enabled us to see our horses in the stables which was a bonus .
We enjoyed a wonderful meal on our first night , the food ambiance and service were all faultless , I’m a vegetarian and all courses were a taste sensation.
Izzy kindly showed us routes to ride and we had a great adventure.
The old rectory we felt offered luxury but with a relaxed atmosphere.

Room Tip: All rooms have different but equally good features

We stayed here for 3 nights in early February, and were warmly welcomed by Izzy who is a lovely person & a great hostess. Our room was very spacious, nicely furnished & extremely comfortable, and the breakfasts were just superb - with pretty much anything you can think of (and more besides) and all beautifully cooked & presented. The house itself is impressive, and the drawing room with its open fire was especially welcoming & comfortable, but its the little things that really make a difference - afternoon tea & cake in front of the open fire when we arrived, fresh flowers in our room, plus huge selection of teas & coffees and home made cookies, home made preserves & local honey at breakfast......I could go on & on, but suffice to say I would unequivocally recommend this is as a great place to stay.

Everything we read in the bed and breakfast reviews was true. The Okd Rectiry is exceptional.

We arrived to tea and carrot cake. Left after a deli she's breakfast. Soup and a sandwich inbetween.

Stayed in the Blue Room with BF of over 45 years. The room is charming. Everything you could wish for provided. A day in Ludlow and then the Old Rectory a perfect outing,

Service, comfort and cleanliness could not have been improved on.

Izzy was a delight. Tarmac, Tilly and two puppies an added bonus.

We stayed at The Old Rectory for the 2nd time and yet again the experience was amazing and this review highlights the lengths that Andy & Izzy go to make sure that you are looked after.
We arrived just as the severe snow came and effectively got snowed in because we don't have a 4x4 vehicle. We moved our car into the pub car park at the top of the lane because there is a long hill between the pub and The Old Rectory.
But this made the stay all the better because we woke up the next morning to even more snow and spent time exploring the hamlet on foot in the snow and even took their dogs out with us.
Izzy made sure that we had a lovely meal which we consumed in the sitting room in front of the open fire with a bottle of wine.
When it came to leave we had to get up to the top of the lane so Izzy and her son drove us back to it and assisted in 'digging us out'.
So we departed with a wave and expectation to return again.
It truly was memorable.

Room Tip: Each room is excellent. The cheapest room is not en-suite but has a magnificent separate private bathroom.

It true that we often have snow at Wheathill as we are so high up - above the snow line.

But we do our best in such circumstances and hopefully our guests enjoy the experience even more. Thank you for coming and see you in the summer I hope!

We stayed in the green room which is tastefully decorated with beautiful antiques and a comfortable huge bed, dressed with top of the range bed linen. Lovely rolltop bath in a large, well-lit bathroom.
The breakfast was a gourmet selection of local and homemade produce served in a delightful dining room with linen and beautiful antique silverware. We were truly spoilt and made to feel like welcome guests. This is a superb B+ B run by a warm and friendly proprietor. Thank you for a delightful stay Issy.
