We had two wonderful days at The Old Rectory looked after amazingly well by hosts Izzy and Andy. The breakfasts in the beautiful Georgian dining room were absolutely outstanding and peerless in quality. Wonderful freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh and poached fruit and a massive variety of quality preserves as well as fabulous full English breakfast or poached haddock which we enjoyed one day.
On arrival we were made very welcome in the elegant drawing room with its lovely log fire.We were served beautiful home-made cakes and enjoyed the homemade biscuits in our room as well as the various 'goodies' Izzy so thoughtfully provided. It was lovely to have fresh milk in the fridge and soya milk too!
Our room was large, beautiful and very comfortable and the bathroom had a first-rate shower. The Old Rectory is a beautiful house set in lovely grounds in a beautiful and very quiet location. It is absolutely in the top echelons of any place we have stayed at home or abroad and we look forward to returning as well as telling all our friends and relations what a treat it is to stay there. Superb in every way. Many thanks. Jonathan and SarahMore
