Yummy cream tea - four scones between two. Really good pot of tea.
Coffee cake and lemon cake also very good.

My wife and I stopped here on a Tuesday around 3ish. crumpets is a tiny place, seats around 16 or so people. We noticed that they only take cash. We had a pleasant cream tea and toasted crumpets. All very nice. We thought it was great value for money, you will not get fleeced here. Btw, the lady on the next table had a lovely looking bacon sarnie on granary, smelt wonderful. We would definitely stop again if nearby.

Surely I can't be the only person to know that "crumpet" is a term for attractive young ladies... Sophie and Rosie clearly intended no double-entendre when they chose the name. Well they do serve at least four different teas, plus coffee, hot chocolate, cakes, scones, teacakes, light snacks and of course, crumpets - and all with a smile.

It's worth the ferry fare to come over from Fowey and have a wander round. Take a look round the Blockhouse, investigate the tiny alleys and passages, then stop in for something tasty. After all, you'll find the best crumpet in Cornwall!
