Look at my waistband, it doesn't lie, I've even lots of pizza in my time, but this pizza is the biggest (even I could finish it!) and one of the most flavoursome I have had, really beautiful.
The staff are just delightful, from the owners and cheery chef donning a hat somewhere between a baker boy hat and beret, to the several waitress's who are extremely attentive and personable.
They bounce around the place chatting to the locals, ensuring everyone has everything they need, but they've somehow got that balance of getting the timing just right. It's actually more like being at a friends house who's a really good host than it is being in a restaurant and its the 2 older guys that set the atmosphere. A real pleasure of a place to be.
One thing i would change if I were them although I'm sure there are some local rules insisting on it, but remove the tall glass walls around the outside seating area. It does create an ambiance of being in someone dining room which is nice for all the reasons I've put above, but it removes any breeze that would otherwise be the only thing that cools you down. Alternatively, have a fan or two out there to keep the air moving.
Other than that, a small, homely Italian kitchen serving awesome home cooked food and served by your dad and sisters. A gem of a place.
Oh, and tried the aged Grappa or more importantly, their home made Liquorice Liquor, I can still taste it now!
