Cupid's Haven is located in a converted church at the edge of the community of Cupids. The place has great charm and would be a lovely base for exploration of the other historic communities of Conception Bay. We stopped there for lunch. The menu is basic, featuring traditional Newfoundland foods. We chose fishcakes... normally a personal favourite... which arrived (after quite a long wait) on the plate with no other accompaniment, except for a commercial roll and a ridiculously small plastic container of coldslaw. It took two requests to the server to finally get butter for the rolls, which turned out to be margarine. This restaurant has great potential, but they need to add a little more sophistication to the presentation of their food, and the servers (at least the ones we had) need better orientation.
