“Quiet getaway for a short break”
Reviewed 22 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Booking was simple and Carole sent clear instructions to find the place (careful attention is needed as the cottage is tucked away behind the old chapel). The cottage itself is full of Welsh character and sympathetically modified so that all comforts are provided. The wood burner was a bonus - makes the whole place nice and cosy (good idea to bring a supply of kindling and logs if you are staying in the colder months).
We didn't really explore the immediate locality due to our short stay, but it looked like there could be some nice short walks in the wooded valley close around the cottage.
Some lovely coast is within about a half-hour drive north (e.g. around Llangrannog, and and from there, west towards Mwnt) and Cardigan (a nice small market town) is also about a half-hour drive.
Don't expect wifi internet and when we were there the TV was only getting BBC channels, but the mobile signal was OK.
The weather on our weekend wasn't quite good enough for sitting outside in the evenings, but the wooded gardens around the cottage have several places on the slope facing west (sunset) that would be nice in summer.

Reviewed 19 May 2016 for a stay in April 2016

we spent a 3 night break at this old worldy cosy cottage in a small quiet village near llandysul in the countryside of Carmarthen. The cottage is dog friendly and she enjoyed poppit sands and Newport sands ! we enjoyed the log burner and the abundant wildlife that visits the garden ! cottage was spick and span and well equipped !
