The cottage was very clean and cosy everything was there to make a break stress free.Welcomed with welsh cakes tea coffee milk which was a nice touch. The wood burner made the cottage very cosy the beds were so comfy, bedding towels all clean and crisp. In the kitchen everything was clean and you had no need take any extra bits and pieces. Owners were on hand if you needed them but they didn't bother you at all,as we took two dogs the local walks were very good and having a small garden for them was great. I would recommend this Cottage to anyone....

“Cosy cottage - nice quiet location”

Full marks for the wood burning stove - also probably the most comfortable beds we've ever slept in away from home. A very well equipped kitchen, with tea, coffee and other basic supplies ready for us on arrival, which was very welcome, arriving as we did on a Sunday. Mair and Alan very helpful. The cottage is in a quiet location - no immediate neighbours, but Llandysul just over 5 mins. drive and the Ceredigion coastline only about 25 mins. away

“Disappointed with cottage”

The gate to the property was very narrow just enough room to get a fiesta through , We had to swing on a main A road to get in . The owners met us and after the greetings told my Partner that the oil fired central heating was controled from the ajoining farm house and would only be turned on when she considered it cold enough it dosn`t mension that in the brouhure. On entering the property the lounge was quite small but looked cosy we later found it dark even with all the lights on .there was a two setter settee and two low backed chairs the kind you would find in a bar. There were two bedrooms one with bunk beds and a double bed in the other. which we found ok .It was the kitchen and the bathroom that we were not happy When we got plates out of the cuboard we found bits of food on them and the same with tyhe cutlery,so we ended up washing the lot.The dish cloth on the was gray and discoloured .in the Bath room there is a septic tank fitted to the toilet and no matter how meny times you flushed the toilet there was always an odour which you could smell in the ajoining kitchen. The corners on the floor looked dirty. The cloth for cleaning the bath and toilt had dark stains on it ,The worst thing was the non slp mat in the bath the underside was covered with black mould and so were the tiles around the bath and finally there was a plastic garden chair to put your clothes on and a tiny hook on the back of the door

“Lovely, relaxing holiday”
Reviewed 17 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Fantastic 2 week stay at the cottage. Mair & Alan were great hosts, friendly & helpful without being intrusive .Beautiful scenery & everything you need to relax, or if you wish lots of local activities.. We took 2 dogs and were made most welcome including (recommend) The Daffodill Inn in Llandysul. Great food & very dog friendly as are many places in this are. For us the highlight of the cottage was the huge Inglenook fire with log burner (we were given enough logs to last the fortnight). We'll be back!!
