So we are currently staying here now. Nice big room, super clean, yes mosquitos and nat bugs but outside only would get in if you left door open. I am here with my husband and 1 year old daughter and totally family friendly. Beautiful town!! Even took the back roads to Kingston to see Rideau Canal. Only thing since a super hot spell in Ontario the air conditioner could’ve been cooler. But no biggie.

Spent 2 nights there for Victoria Day long weekend travelling to Kingston and 1000 islands. Nice and spacious room. Comfortable beds. They have a tv, microwave, coffee pot, etc. They don't provide bottled water though. Breakfast space is kind of ridiculous - very little space for so many people...That was the only drawback, probably. Maybe 5-6 tables, most of them for 2 people. One morning we waited, the next one we had to take some food and go to our room. The breakfast itself is quite nice - cereals, apples, bananas, jam, muffins, english bun, coffee, juice and you can make waffles! They also have an outdoor pool, but it was closed in May (not so warm yet). Overall nice hotel. Reccommended.

Perfect location for us to do our boat trip around the 1000 islands from Rockport. Room was large and very clean. Easy onsite parking. Breakfast room was busy but everything was refilled. Great stay cannot fault.

Howard Johnson at Gananoque is a nice little hotel located in the town centre of the beautiful town of Gananoque.

Near and clean rooms with excellent maintenance etc

Breakfast is pathetic though ! Only a couple of brownies and waffles. No egg or related preparations at all.

Overall value for money.

This hotel was ok. It was fairly cheap, reasonably clean and the bed was comfy. It's also conveniently located. We liked having a microwave in the room.
The room was terribly cold when we arrived. It was the middle of an extreme cold spell and they had the heat right off. Took hours to get it to livable temperature.
Other than that the stay was ok. Just ok.
