very comfortable bed and with the heat of the day, it cooled off nicely to sleep. friendly and accomodating staff. wonderful continental breakfast, unfortunately the hot tub and pool were down for servicing, but that is needed to take care of equipment

The check in was very smooth. The room was spacious, clean and well decorated. The only issue was the usual smell. Thankfully, there was a window which allowed me to let in some fresh air. However, I would have loved to leave the window open the entire night but could not because there was some construction going on and there were beams around the rooms.

We stayed here for one night and we were pleased with the room, the cleanliness and the quietness.

In June 2017 when we were there, they were doing an outside renovation. We were told that the work starts at 7 or 7:30am (she told us this prior to check-in, which was thoughtful). They seemed to purposely located us away from the construction zone so that it would not become an issue for us, which it did not.

The breakfast was a typical hot breakfast although the person who we thought was in charge was not particularly attentive or engaging in any way.

We would go back if we were in Brooks again.

I normally give high ratings because I tend to be pretty easy-going. We were disappointed with the service at this hotel, even though the room was very nice.
We made the reservation 2 weeks in advance and chose this hotel for the pool/waterslide. When we checked in, the front desk immediately advised (apologetically) that the pool was under renovation. We were disappointed, especially because we had booked it recently and there were no indications that the pool would be closed for May long-weekend. The service desk person offered 2 options: to either stay there and use the pool at their sister-property across the street, or cancel our reservation and check-into the hotel across the street altogether. We asked if they could offer a discount if we wanted to stay without the use of the "sister hotel" pool ,and the answer was no. She went on to tell us that she liked the other hotel "much cheaper" and "in some ways, even better" than the Ramada. I found the inability to offer a discount, and the off-handed comments to be rigid and unprofessional. We agreed to go to the other hotel so the attendant called over to secure a room for us. We went to the other hotel and the only available rooms were not suitable for us with our 2 small kids, so we decided to suck-it-up and return to the Ramada. When we approached the same service desk attendant again, she was able to now offer us a room at a better rate because once our reservation was properly cancelled, she was able to offer us the current rate which was lower than when we booked ahead. Not only that, but we upgraded our room and still paid more than $50 LESS than our original booking! Less than the "cheaper" hotel accross the street, Come on!!
Our room was really lovely and clean but had no view (scaffold and tarp because of the ongoing renovation) and the beds were comfortable. We felt that the person at the desk should have been more aware of options available to us to keep us from leaving the hotel in the first place. It wasn't a lack-of-sales-knowledge thing, it was a lack-of-customer-service- too-lazy-to-research-for-us thing.

Room Tip: Ask if Pool is open and if able to upgrade to king rooms, they're very nice!
