Secret special place for local and international skiers. People come to Nelson for a visit and stay the winter sometimes longer. Close to town and always a fantastic place to spend a day.

Great place to ski with challenging terrain. Went during a snow drought in January and the place was very empty. There were no lift lines and people were friendly. I'd recommend to others!

Spent two days skiing here after the region got dumped on in February. Make sure you have a good 4 wheel drive vehicle to get up to the base. The road is a little steep!

Loved the slopes. They were a great challenge for my legs :)

Whitewater is a smaller spot than anywhere I've been so far in western Canada, but wasn't at all crowded and there was still way more terrain than I was able to cover.

The après ski wasn't bad either. Great food and beer in the bar in the chalet.

Look forward to going back again another season.

20 minutes from downtown Nelson and part of the powder triangle. If it's a good season elsewhere in the province, it will be an excellent season at Whitewater. Although it is a small hill, there are many challenging runs and some of the best powder in the province. The lodge has some of the best food of any ski resort.

Can't beat the great slops only 20 minutes from downtown Nelson.
Lots of runs on the mountain so lineups are rare...
Gotta do it!!
