20 minutes from downtown Nelson and part of the powder triangle. If it's a good season elsewhere in the province, it will be an excellent season at Whitewater. Although it is a small hill, there are many challenging runs and some of the best powder in the province. The lodge has some of the best food of any ski resort.

Can't beat the great slops only 20 minutes from downtown Nelson.
Lots of runs on the mountain so lineups are rare...
Gotta do it!!

Not much of a hill with lousy access and drivers that think they own the road. seriously it;s not worth taking your life in your hands to access this small town hill.

White water is an awesome ski resort. It is on of the smaller resorts around when you consider vertical feet but it has done an awesome job packing a lot of ski-able terrain off its short lifts. There is very few groomed runs which is great if you are an more advanced skier looking to do some back- country skiing, they also have easy access back-country areas great for touring. Most of the terrain is steep and groomed making it less ideal for novice skiers. However it does have a handle tow and a good sized beginner area for those new to skiing or riding.

Whitewater is truly authentic. Simple, basic, but you will only find passionate people about what they are doing. Definitely not a place for beginners, but a good place to learn powder skiing and off-piste.
