After a long, and terrifying ride up the gondola (I don’t like heights) we were blown away by the views making it all worth it! We have done a few other gondola rides but this one takes the ‘top’ spot! You don’t want to miss it!

The sea to sky gondola ride is about 10 mins long, takes you to a very high point. You feel like you have entered a different world all together! Breathtaking panoramic views! There is a suspension bridge there as well which is great!! Totally lived the visit.

Gondola rides are not the cheapest attractions around Vancouver, but on a clear day, this one is well worth the money. The views from the chalet at the top (which has delicious burgers), and through the trails to the lookout over the inlet and mountains are what Squamish is all about. Highly recommended to all visitors; the suspension bridge is also wheelchair friendly! (I saw a guy going over no problem)

We missed out on the peak to peak gondola so decided to do the Sea to Sky instead. The view from the gondola was fantastic and we were so pleased that the operator asked us if we'd like a gondola just to ourselves. The staff here were all very friendly and helpful.
At the top of the mountain there are various walking trails ranging from very easy to very hard. They all have great signposts which detail how long and how difficult they are. There are fantastic views from lots of different viewpoints and an excellent suspension bridge (not for those afraid of heights!).
We also took a guided walk with a very knowledgeable guide who had lots of stories, humour and interesting facts about the mountain, the flora and fauna, and the area. He was fantastic and very interesting - it also made us laugh when he told us about the bears as he was quoting the bear expert who had taken us bear watching the day before up Blackcomb and it was a nice link between the 2 mountains.
Well worth doing and much better than Grouse Mountain which we also did a couple of days later.
The only negative is that some of the food served on the mountain is pretty bad - we went for some lovely sounded wraps, but they were nearly cold when we went to eat them and randomly served with crisps - very expensive for what they were.

Thank emtrey

My husband and I did this gondola ride on our honeymoon and it was one of the best things in the area. The ride up the gondola is breathtaking. Once you get to the top, their is a wide range of hiking options at all different skill levels (each with its own special and beautiful view down at the mountain ranges and lakes below). These is a lodge area that has a outside deck to have lunch or a drink as well as a suspended bridge. I definite must when in the area for sure!!! PS. In October this was the only Gondola still open until the season picks back up at the end of November.
