Our Family along with another family spent 3 nights in the new cabins in Silent Lake. First thing I can confirm is that the cabins are gorgeous. Well built and able to keep the elements out...perhaps too well! We let the propane heated fireplace run our first night and nearly melted! The cabins are insulated really well.

The cabins have adequate home comforts. You will have to travel a few hundred meters to the clean comfort station to use the facilities, clean dishes, take a shower or get potable water, but it was hardly a hardship.

Our cabin, #206 even enjoyed a clearing in the trees that the kids quickly built into their own toboggan run.

The park itself is quiet, clean and quite beautiful.

We stopped by to see the fall colours, and were not disappointed. Though a relatively busy park in the summer, it was mostly empty in the fall (as far as we could tell we were the only ones there.) We didn't have time for all of the trails, but we did have a chance to walk down one, to where a spur leads to a bench overlooking the lake. In one of the better areas to see fall colours, it was a good place to see them.

We have not been here for over 30 years so did not know what to expect. What a pleasant surprise!!! We camped here for 2 nights in our old VW Westy in the Pincer Bay area and had the place to ourselves. The site was huge, clean and beautiful. Even if there had been other campers we would still have had a lot of privacy. The weather was warm so hiking and swimming we great. Next time we will bring our kayaks to enjoy the lakes and we will definitely stay longer. The only negative comment would be the design of the new park office and roadways. It seems a little backwards for parking, access to the desk and the water station.

Beautiful and clean campground. The girls at the front office were great but one person sticks out even more by the name of Danielle. She was an absolute pleasure to speak with, provided information without us feeling like we should know the answer. Always willing to help!! Kudo's to Danielle!!
Canoe rental process went really well, beach is clean and washrooms as well. Our site was a good size as well. We celebrated my hubby's 60th BD with family and friends; having two sites. The park is nice and quiet. Would go again in a heartbeat!!
