Beautiful and clean campground. The girls at the front office were great but one person sticks out even more by the name of Danielle. She was an absolute pleasure to speak with, provided information without us feeling like we should know the answer. Always willing to help!! Kudo's to Danielle!!
Canoe rental process went really well, beach is clean and washrooms as well. Our site was a good size as well. We celebrated my hubby's 60th BD with family and friends; having two sites. The park is nice and quiet. Would go again in a heartbeat!!

Bucket List: visit every Provincial Park in Ontario. We were up at the cottage and decided to check out Silent Lake PP. We had camped here in 2001 but had not been back since. It is a very nice park. Took a look at the cabins and thought that would be a fun weekend trip. There are also a number of yurts here. The washroom facilities were very clean. The beach is small but nice. They have walk-in sites along the water. The sites are a fair walk from the beach but you can drive or bike over. Hope to come and stay here some time.

We last visited this park over 25 years ago. It was beautiful then and is even better now. Clean and quiet. The new comfort stations are great.

Came here for a couple nights mid-week with my 11-year old son. The campground overall seems like it draws the more respectful type of camper, didn't hear any loud noise and it got pretty quiet at night fairly early. Stayed at the Pincer section campsite 32. A good site though if you don't like being able to see your neighbours you wouldn't like this one.
We'd highly recommend the 15km Lakeshore Trail. It says it takes 6 hours but I'd say 5 is definitely reasonable. Lots of beautiful scenery along the way. A fair bit of up and down and I'd consider it a somewhat challenging hike. Most definitely need to pack a full lunch and lots of hydration. The only downside was there were plenty of mucky sections along the way some of which we had to find our own detour around to avoid, and it hadn't even rained the day we went or the day before.

Silent Lake is one of the most picturesque parks. The sites are large and wooded and offer enough privacy to be able to appreciate the peace and quiet in true nature. There are trails everywhere, we found one through the campground to the beautiful beach, with clean water just made for summer swims. We fished easily off the shores and found all of the amenities to be above average as they usually are in the provincial parks. The only thing we noted was that the beaches are a good walk from most sites, with small children I think you would have to bike or drive which can be a pain. Otherwise the park is a 10 and you should definitely make time to camp here.
