Oak and Thorne is one of our favorite restaurants to go to as a family. It has a great pub atmosphere, but is totally family friendly. At their new location, they even have complementary shuffleboard and ping-pong. Their menu is quite extensive, with something for everyone. Prices are extremely reasonable. We love to go Sunday for brunch. My boys absolutely love their honey garlic chicken wings. I love their honey hot ones!

We attended a fund raiser here usual $20 beer/burger type. If the burger is a testament of the food quality we will never eat here again. If they bring in cheap burgers for an event it shows poor judgement. We have used other Joseph Richardson establishments before but this re vamped venue missed the mark.

The owners have created a monster. The old Oak and Thorne had a community feel the new is simply a name change from a Shark Club. For those that liked the noise volume of the old will not miss a beat at the new. Food is the same, service is still average, but lots of TV.

I came here before when it was the shark club. It was tight. The seating. The bar. It was all good. Now i swing by and it has its positives and its negatives.

The positives are that its a big space. It has one huge tv. It has the most seating at the bar of any place in the area. 30 stools. Its a JRG pub so the menu and specials are excellent including $3 wells during happy hour. It has games like pool, pinball, video games and skeeball.

The negatives will all be worked out in the next few months i bet. The lighting is off. They have 3 huge pillars which are way too bright. Makes it feel like they just did last call and turned on the ugly lights. Although it has the biggest single screen around it only has a handful of smaller screens to fill out the space. The decor or style hasnt found its niche. It has cool art on the pillars and a fake stuffed elk. All this was tolerable for a place in transition. But the service was slow. Very slow.empty glasses sat on the bar top for 15 minutes even though there were 3 bartenders on duty and bar seats were only half full. People knew the service was slow and even though they were sitting at the bar would walk over to the bar service area and order and take their drinks back to their stool. Not good for a place only 1/5th full.

I would come back again. But i will wait a while for them to finish their transition.

Thank Kevin L

Went with a large group of people. Staff were friendly and the food was good. Large selection of beers on tap. Lots of seating.
