We toured this cultural centre on a misty day so enjoyed the lack of people on the outside walking trails. The trail through the experiences of our indigenous ancestors was spiritual and peaceful. Lovely to see 2young ospreys in their nest outside the entrance.

The projectors were not working so we will need to get back to view the audio visual productions.

Very informative staff and lovely gift shop.

Thank Margaret D

Wey, hello, and thank you for your review. Come back again in the summertime to enjoy our full theatre productions. Of course, the summer months are the busiest so perhaps you chose the correct time to come visit. In any case, you are more then welcome to come back whenever you like! Thank you for visiting us.

This cultural museum is very informative with live talks on native snakes etc. Always a good place to take company. Reasonably priced but could be lower

Thank you for visiting our centre and leaving a review. Over the past several years we have been trying to keep up with other visitor attractions to make sure our pricing reflects what others are offering. We hope you can come back to experience our centre in all the summer-glory.

I have recently relocated from Ontario to Oliver. I had family down visiting from Quebec and came across Nk’Mip Desert Cultural Centre website via the Osoyoos visitor guide. We were welcomed by the Marketing director who was very informative, insightful and passionate.

We learned a great deal and enjoyed the experience via videos and gallery walk indoors and out! Coming from Ontario and our nations capital I feel we are very kept away from learning about our history and First Nations people. I’ve lived in this area for 4 months and have learned more about First Nations and am very grateful for real talk and understanding!

I will be coming again and letting everyone I know to visit this exceptional Cultural Centre when in the area!

Thank Edward T

An absolutely stunning landscape surrounds this cultural centre. Being the off season, we had a self guided tour of the centre and the grounds. We expected to pay the regular admission but were told, because it was the off season we could tour the facility and make a donation to the centre when we were done. The short film which we saw when we first walked into the centre explained some history about the Okanagan people and the Osoyoos tribe. It was a very moving tribute to the importance of ancestors and culture. The theme of the coyote being the spiritual guide was incredibly well done. There are displays of art work, artifacts and information on animals, history, etc.. in the adjacent room. Learning that the Osoyoos tribe didn't send their children to a residential school but hired a teacher to come to them was so good to hear. When you enter the room with the campfire, there is another short film about the coyote and the salmon, a beautiful legend of the Okanagan people. The outside area must be amazing in the summer but we found it very informative and interesting. Everything was so well displayed and beautifully presented. And the landscape of the vicinity is spectacular. Loved all of the statues.

Wow, what an excellent review, well worded and complimentary. Thank you. We are happy you got to experience the centre and the exhibits. We are especially pleased that you enjoyed the films and the morals/lessons attached to them . The importance of respecting beliefs and culture is part of being in this world and being in unity.
