Very distressing experience

Very distressing experience, hotel manager does not respond to serious allergy and health concerns. We stayed in his hotel and paid for the 3 night quarantine stay. There isn't enough space to document everything that happened, but this was supposed to be Covid safe and protect us, however it was the complete opposite. Rooms were very dirty, strangers hairs in the bed and bathroom tiles, stained bedding sheets, carpets and walls. We requested a room change which was slightly better but we still had to sleep with our own towel on the pillow as it was filthy! We requested hot water and waited two hours before we had to get it ourselves. We ordered two breakfasts, only one came and was not gluten free so were asked to return the breakfast and staff started moving food around from other boxes without gloves and handed back a breakfast that still contained gluten. It was clear staff had no understanding of allergy concerns and cross contamination impacts! We didn't receive food for 18 hours after being promised they would order a new breakfast and the government health authority intervened and released us after only 20 hours. We contacted the manager then and still chasing since (a week and a half later), he is yet to return our calls and emails. For nearly $1,200 for 3 nights and only staying for 1, this is what we got!

I stayed here for 3 day mandatory qurantine, please book before coming to vancouver , otherwise you have to stay this horrible hotel . I hate everyting about the hotel and paid for that. 1400 dollars for 3 nights. I covered the pillow with my hoodie because it was not clean.

I stayed here for the 3-day mandatory qurantine, it cost me 1400 dollars and got me the worst hotel experience ever. The staff here is unbelievably unprofessional, fron desk not wearing any mask. the room is all dirty, strangers' hair on towel. food is terrible. No refund for early departure.

Had to stay for 3 day mandatory quarantine.
Check-in was horrible, front desk staff was the least knowledgeable folks there.
Room condition was worse, stained bed sheets, clogged washroom sink, broken room chair, full of frost but empty on minibar fridge, partially sticky carpet likely due to a liquid splilage. The least courteous and ill-trained staff ever experienced on planet earth.
Food shared was the worst, unable to explain.

Room tip: Do not stay in this hotel if you want to keep sanity in check.

Price - $957 for 3 nights due to covid 3-day quarantine - Extreme Price Gouging - for only $100/Night hotel room - had to change my own sheets - Dirty windows dirty bathroom with poor management - Terrible - DO NOT STAY HERE.

Room tip: Do not stay here

Really surprised this property has such a mediocre rating. I also stayed at their sister property - the Coast Hotel on SW Marine Drive - and felt that the Quality Inn was superior in pretty much every way.

The location can't be beat for those looking for something close to the airport and/or a mall. The CF Richmond shopping mall is within walking distance, and east of that is the SkyTrain that can get you to Vancouver cheaply and quickly. There is a park directly south of the property which looked great but I didn't have time to check out. Lots of banks and restaurants nearby. Room was spacious and modern. The staff actually read my accommodation requests and booked me on a high floor, a rarity. Internet was fast, lots of TV channels.

Can't think of anything I didn't like about my stay, even if it was only one night. Highly recommended.
