Have been here multiple times on business. Never any thing to write home about but this experience over our two night stay was not good.
Every staff member we interacted with was kind, competent and attentive. Carlos at the front desk was helpful and I appreciate his efforts to try and make things right.
Our room was very musty smelling. Stains were plentiful in our ninth floor room. Beds, curtains, chair all has some pretty gross mystery spots. Pillow cases stunk like someone else had been sleeping on it for several nights without it being washed.
The rooms above were undergoing renovations which certainly needs to happen and may alleviate these sort of issues in the future. That being said, the amount of dust coming through the vents (assuming from the renos above) was staggering. Woke up to a layer of dust on all of our personal items on the bedside tables and the lamps were coated.
Mentioned this to Carlos at the front desk in the morning and he promptly took action and changed our room. More of the same including stains on the sheets and that all too familiar coating of dust.
Naps were out of the question with the construction noise from renos. Probably not a must for some, but in our case this was an issue.
In what world is it acceptable to charge $250+ a night for such sub par accommodations? Management really needs to take some attention to detail and ensure the conditions of this hotel are addressed. In the meantime, their pricing needs some serious amendments and I hope they are treating the staff well as they are the only glimmer of hope here.
Please do better. Hey
