Shuttle service was down due to a strike and no alternative was provided. Put wrong name and charged the wrong card on the bill. Refuses to help. Doesn't provide services that are included unless explicitly asked, such as breakfast vouchers. Balcony is very dirty.

A short walk to a huge mall and associated restaurants, a plethora of Asian inspired restaurants and the beautiful Minoru Park. Don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy this park. The hotel is modern and clean. The bed was very comfortable and although solar heating through the windows cast doubt on the A/C, it performed satisfactorily and cooled down the room. I was disappointed the TV wall mount does not adjust for viewing angles. Okay, no shuttle. I guess that is a dealbreaker for some. I was properly informed by email a few days prior about the ongoing labor strike and no shuttle is available. Since we were leaving at 0330 for the airport, most hotel shuttles are not 24 hours. I was informed by the desk upon check in that Richmond Cab is often parked in the parking lot and can be quickly summoned by the front desk. The process was seamless. I called the front desk and requested the taxi. Before we could gather our luggage and get out the door, the front desk clerk called to say the cab was out front. The short ride to the airport was about twenty bucks. I would definitely stay at this property again.

How come they still don't resume the complimentary airport shuttle service after more than 10 months? This is insane. It's not several weeks without the service. It has been 10 months !!! I know there is strike. But does it mean if the strike doesn't end then there will be no shuttle service forever? Why can't the hotel do something such as finding an alternative, finding a way to compensate the clients or showing some appreciation to the clients? I will not recommend this hotel if this doesn't change.

It has been many years since we've stayed at this hotel. This was another weekend trip up to Richmond. Not much of the hotel lobby has changed much, nor its availability of outside parking and covered parking, both require daily fee but
the outside parking is convenient for those with cargo boxes etc. Front staff was friendly and they allowed us to move to a higher floor upon request - originally was on 3rd floor but moved up to the 11th floor, room 1102, a junior suite.

Regarding the room itself, I was glad to see the room was updated with usb outlets and seems refreshed. The room had 2 queens along with a sofa bed, so affords quite a lot of sleeping space. The setup though, was quite odd. The bathroom was in between the living room and the bedroom and if someone was in the bathroom with both sides doors closed, those that were in the bedroom side were stuck there. We stayed in the same type of room years ago but with smaller children wasn't as big of a deal. with older kids now, this was quite inconvenient. Also, the vacant upstairs room had its alarm clock go off at midnight and woke us up and took front desk about 15 minutes to find the room and turn off.

Couple things regarding the facilities - they do not provide slippers for the room. The pool was outside and is heated but not nearly enough to be used on a windy April night. The gym was adequate - space not big but they were efficiently equipped with ample cardio machines, an universal machine and couple benches with free weights.

Modern, large rooms in an adequate location for the airport. Staff on check in could have been more personable and throughout stay did not feel welcoming. Cleanliness was to standard with well appointed amenities, however the majority of the USB ports within the room were broken and unusable. In modern times these should be replaced like any other broken furniture.

Nicely appointed room. 1 queen bed and 1 king bed with bathroom in between. So almost like two separate bedrooms, which is nice; but you have to pass through the bathroom to get to the king bed which might be a bit weird, depending on your situation. Overall, really nice room

Room tip: Close to the Richmond Olympic Oval (10 minute walk), Richmond Center and lots of restaurants. Parking can be a bit hard to find
