As a Titanium member we are pretty loyal to the Marriott brand. That said this one night stay gets a failing grade!

The entire hotel has a mouldy/musty smell (lobby and room on the 10th floor)! After one night all of my belongings smell like mould! In the lobby they said it was because they had a burst pipe in the lounge but it was strong in our room as well (on the 10th floor). Once that smell permeates a hotel it is difficult to get rid of.

Marriott should give a warning that there is no shuttle to this hotel....this came as a surprise.

thank you very much for posting a review of your stay at the Vancouver Airport Marriott Hotel. Our sincere apologies for not meeting your expectations during your stay. Effectively, due to below freezing temperatures, a pipe burst did burst and affected our Club lounge. We have re-opened since, and everything is back to normal. We do sincerely apologies about this inconvenience. We also like to apologize about the transportation and are hopeful that our shuttle provider will resume their dispute very soon. I booked this for one night before an early morning flight. Fortunately I'd called ahead and knew that there's currently no shuttle service so keep that in mind if you're flying in or out of YVR. It's also further than I thought from YVR and the lobby is confusing as it's facing a parking lot rather than the street.

This is an extremely underwhelming Marriot, our two queen room was on the smaller side and the bathroom was downright tiny. They did have nice in room Nespresso however.

We our Platinum members and had access to the club lounge and it was probably the worst one I've seen. They didn't have any hot due to the holidays and snacks consisted of some granola bars, Cold cereal and dried apricots. That was it!

I definitely wouldn't return.

If you're looking for a quality airport hotel experience, stay somewhere else.
As far as the rooms go, they're rooms, so that's fine. The lounge they boast about is a joke (the food especially was at best laughable). They don't disclose that because of the property owners affinity for not paying employees fair wages, they don't offer a shuttle to the airport, until they're asked, and then they are VERY clear they they don't have a shuttle and they most definitely will 100% absolutley NOT reimburse you for a cab/uber to the airport.

Room tip: Stay elsewhere.

Incredibly large, modern, and beautiful rooms with super comfy beds.

Located conveniently close to the airport, and right across the street from a major shopping mall. Also within walking distance to several food options, and the Sky train station should you wish to head into the city.

The only negative was that I found it a bit loud. There were constant car horns blaring due to striking employees picketing on the sidewalk just off property of the hotel. This made it difficult to sleep in past 7am, and nearly impossible to try and rest prior to working overnight.

I stayed here with my son the day prior to, and the day after a cruise. The airport shuttle was convenient. The on-site restuarant was nice. The staff were friendly and helpful. They gave some solid suggestions of where to walk to for nearby food that my son would enjoy. Would be happy to stay here again.

The service was poor probably because a strike is going on and the staff was not happy working there. This hotel is far away from the airport. It has no shuttle from the airport upon arrival at Vancouver Airport.
