Lovely stay at the Fairmont YVR. It was my first time flying solo with my baby girl so I booked into the Fairmont for the night before I flew to the UK. I arrived for a 3pm check in and the staff were very helpful. Check in was easy and quick and the porters helped me with my bags from the cab to the room. Temperature checks on arrival and masks are mandatory inside the hotel. The room felt very clean and very comfortable. We had an great view of the run way and enjoyed watching some planes land and take off. Being from the Uk I love a form mattress and unfortunately the Fairmont beds are not that comfortable for me personally even when asking for a firm one but that’s just personal opinion. The crib was also very small and my 1 year old is on the smaller side and just fit with not much room to move.
Breakfast the following morning was wonderful. It was quiet and our waitress was lovely and very helpful. I had the poached egg and avocado and a small bowl of scrambled egg for my little one which they didn’t charge me for. Really tasty! We had some time to kill so used the pool. Although both pools were pretty cold it was still enjoyable. Would be nicer if at least one of them was heated though. Check out was easy and again the porters helped me with my bags from my room and loaded them onto a trolly ready for me to head to check in.

Pros: breakfast, cleanliness, safe, comfortable, very friendly, great with kids.
Cons: not firm enough mattress, crib too small.

We stayed at Fairmont YVR for hotel quarantine.
Staffs were very accommodating and it helped as I was travelling with 2 children.
They had good food and the check in process was nice.
We were allowed 20 min outside time once a day.

Internet quite slow

Ordering food is a disaster - phone is not picked up or long time on hold and hang up - delivery takes more than one hour and poor choice

Hot water is not hot in the shower
