Plenty of character. It doesn't get better than this. Low lighting for romantic, classics rests away from work and the big smoke

We fell in love with the pictures on the website and it's even better in real life, perfect for a couple for a long weekend or longer and there's actual enough beds for 5 people although this would be a squeeze. We ate out in the garden each day to be greeted by the cows and sheep in the nearby fields which was a great backdrop to have whilst eating your cornflakes!

The bedroom over looking the living room is a great touch and inspired me enough to propose to my now fiancée there for our own Romeo and Juliet moment.

I can imagine it would be just as cozy, if not more so, in the winter with the log burner going.

10/10, loved it!

Just back from our weekend away, staying in Ramblers Barn and thank you - we loved it! Cosy and full of additional homely touches. Clean with a comfy bed and fluffy pillows. Great sofa for lunging at the end of a busy day and a well equipped kitchen.

Grateful that it was chilly enough to need to log burner, but really the house was plenty warm enough to use just the heaters. Great value accommodation, fabulous location and we so appreciated the maps left in the house. Walked for 13miles on our first day and did some trail running on the second. Great local pubs around too.

The TV/DVD/Projector combination was a bit complex - and we are pretty good at this stuff. A lovely idea, but not sure its really worth the hassle.

The cottage is well equipped and centrally located. For the not so technical some instructions for operation would be a bonus.

“Excellent retreat for ramblers 😀”

We are basking at this moment in the warm glow of the wood burner, after another good day's walk in this charming corner of the Peak District. There are so many varied walks to be enjoyed from the doorstep. The barn couldn't be better positioned for a relaxing holiday. If you don't have a car there are buses here from Buxton or Ashbourne which stop at the door. The accommodation is very comfortable and well equipped with a quirky mezzanine bedroom.

What an amazing place! Such a romantic and relaxing place to be. Beautiful nature for walks and riding...so nice and quiet. We were nicely welcomed and got loads of advice where to go and what to do. Recommend it to all :)
