My husband and I stayed "Under the Brown Moon" for days and loved every minute of it. The rooms are charming all with balconies. The food was delicious and most of it homemade and some grown right on the property. Try those tomatoes!!! Both Benedetta and Paolo were the best. Benedetta speaks many languages including English and is a wealth of information with many contacts in the area. Paolo is a kind and gentle soul and took my husband to the wine country for a wine tasting tour. He just loved it. If we go back to the countryside where my husbands family is from we will certainly stay there again.

Room Tip: all rooms are great

We stayed at Sotto la Luna Bruna for 4 nights in April 2013. The house is lovely, the rooms bright, spacious and full of character and look just like they do in the website photos. Bathrooms are not en suite, but you can book a bedroom with a private bathroom. Ours was just down the hall and that wasn't an issue - though the water pressure in the shower could have been better.

Benedetta and Paolo are great hosts and passionate about the Monferrato region, which is less well known that other parts of Piemonte.

Not to be missed in the area are Sacra Monte di Crea, a UNESCO world heritage site and the Abbazia di Vezzolano. We also did a trip to the Cuneo region and spent a lovely afternoon in Neive - one of "i borghi più belli d'Italia" (the most beautiful villages of Italy).

This is a lovely little bed and breakfast, secluded in beautiful countryside near the small Piedmontese town of Cocconato. We spent a night here during a long weekend. The house and rooms are finished to a high standard and it's hard to imagine anywhere more peaceful. Benedetta provided us with suggestions for restaurants and day trips and organised a tasting at a local winery.

Room Tip: If you're travelling with friends you can have two bedrooms sharing a bathroom.

We had a very pleasant stay together with our grown-up children.(we booked three rooms for a complete week) The owners are very pleasant and enthousiastic They gave us a warm welcome and a lot of great tips for day trips and restaurants. Good, decent breakfast. flexible timing of the breakfast. Problems/questions are immediately solved. You need to share the bathrooms, but for a family thats not an issue.
The location is really great with a beautiful view on the landscape. The house is standing on its own without direct neighbours and possibility to enjoy the sun close to the house. The rooms have a balcony and are clean. No TV or internet. Warm water of shower leaves room for improvement.
Overall a great address that we enjoyed very much

Room Tip: Not all doublerooms have a double bed, so ask for that!
