This was a lovely B&B. Very clean, comfortable and excellent value for money. Hosts are extremely friendly and very accommodating. The room was a decent size with both a double and single bed, and a good-sized en-suite bathroom (toiletries provided). We enjoyed a delicious breakfast with locally sourced food. The location is good for both walks in the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons and nearby Hay-on-Wye. There is a little traffic noise but this did not interfere with a good night's sleep. The Griffin Pub (opposite) served very good food and beer at reasonable prices.

Sue & Martin were great hosts, friendly and happy to do everything to make sure we had a good stay, great to meet such dog friendly people.
Clean rooms, we where not bothered by any noise (double glazed and thick curtains)
Breakfast very good, using locally sourced produce.
Great friendly local pub, easy access to good dog walking areas.
We would stay again

We were having so much fun traveling down the east side of Wales that we let the lunch hour get away from us. Fortunately, we stopped at the Wye Knot Stop, which is a delight. We had a couple of excellent cream teas, and although the owner was closing up the kitchen, he did not rush us in the least. We were able to take our time to enjoy the fresh baked scones and tea. The place was spotlessly clean and the decor charming. We look forward to returning in the near future.

Stayed here while attending a wedding at Llangoed Hall down the road, this B&B is less than 5 minutes drive from the Hall so is in an excellent location if you are looking for somewhere nearby.

We stayed in the upstairs room which had a large en-suite bathroom. The room was spacious, it had a double and single in the room so good for families. The bed was comfortable enough but not the softest mattress. We got a good night's sleep as the road outside does quieten down a lot at night.

The breakfast was good and plenty of options for yoghurt, toast, cereal etc plus a good welsh fry up.

One thing that would make a difference would be a nice set of new towels as they were a bit crunchy and the shower pressure is not so great.

Overall a nice B&B for a short stay, lovely owners and great location for Llangoed Hall and Brecon. I would stay again.

Thank you for a fantastic weekend. We really enjoyed our stay in your B&B. It was great staying in your annex that had our own private entrance. It made it feel like our own little pad with the luxury of not having to cook our own breakfast !

Room was clean, breakfast was excellent and included cereals, croissants as well as a full Welsh breakfast made with local produce.

There is also a cafe attached to the B&B that offers great food at very reasonable prices and I've been told that the Coffee alone is well worth the visit. Even though I wouldn't touch the stuff myself, so I had to make do with the local cider which I would highly recommend. The cafe also has a real log fire where you can sit and relax reading the local papers whilst enjoying your cider or coffee.

There is also a great pub over the road that also has great log fires and serves real ales and great food so not too far to stumble back to your room. If you fancy a slightly longer walk (5 mins), the other pub in the village does a huge selection of curries.

If you don't know the area at all, just spend 10 minutes with Martin who will be only too happy to point you in the right direction as he knows the area like the back of his hand and will also help you find some of the less touristy sights.

Many thanks to Martin and Sue for helping us to have a brilliant weekend. We will definately be visiting again and will recommend to friends.
