“A great, cosy cottage”
Reviewed 26 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

A very cosy and clean cottage at a great location! It is perfect for both winter (with its huge fireplace) and summer (lovely garden and BBQ). Village of Rye close by is really nice and calm, and there are plenty of other options nearby to drive and spend the day. Great getaway at the countryside!

Lovely self-catering cottage, well done up and very cosy and warm - would recommend. Good instructions on directions before we arrived.

“wonderful getaway!”
Reviewed 22 February 2015 for a stay in February 2015

what a lovely find, the wife wanted a cottage with an open fire! well this gives you a beautiful inglehook fire place.
you get good instructions before you travel, like most places it seems your started off with one bag of fire wood......you could argue that's a bit mean but then if everyone filled their boots you would arrive to find no wood.
cottage was really cosy and just the ticket and only a few miles from Rye.
the cottage has all the amenities that you need, we took a box of food etc not knowing what to expect.
the only small downside is that there is no freezer part to the fridge. once we knew, it wasn't as issue but we had already bought some cheeky ice creams for a naughty afternoon snack which we had to eat sooner than planned.....which is never is a bad thing :-)

there is a little farm up the road on the left heading to Rye, has fire wood etc and jams and apple juices and other tasty delights.
there is also a local supermarket called Jempsons.......if only some of the big guns looked like this. has everything you need and looks to stock local stuff as well.

whatever direction you wish to go it is a good base to start from.

great cottage and wonderful fire.............defy anyone not to relax!

Thank you for your positive and helpful comments and we have reacted to your suggestion. So there is now a small separate freezer for making ice and keeping your ice cream frozen!

“Kid friendly and cosy”
Reviewed 3 January 2015 for a stay in October 2014

I had a great weekend stay with our two children and the cottage absolutely lived up to expectations. A lovely enclosed garden for the kids to run around in and a big open fire to roast marshmallows and chestnuts on. Well located for Rye and a great beach at Camber Sands. A really lovely weekend place to stay!
