“Lovely cottage in superb location”
Reviewed 13 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

A warm welcome with all the infomation needed and the offer of help if required. The cottage is charming and full of character, clean, cosy and practical - ( lovely shower with plenty of hot water ) and easy to operate wood burning stove. We could have spent days just sitting there soaking up the views and watching the sheep and lambs. There is more to do and see within an hours drive than we could have managed in a month, and facilities available only 10 minutes away. We hope to be able to return.

You also beat us to it, we were intending to send you a photo of where we planted the aquilegia but we haven't quite got around to doing so yet, although we are watering it don't worry! “Lovely views, great accommodation - recommended!”
Reviewed 24 August 2012 for a stay in August 2011

We went on holiday to this cottage with grandparents, parents and 2 children. The cottage is not difficult to find, but definitely off the beaten track! The accommodation was fantastic! This was a family home until the owners moved next door, so it is furnished and decorated to a high standard and does not feel like it has been furnished as just a holiday home like some can. The owners were friendly and provided us with a travel cot and stair gates when we asked - the stairs are narrow and twisty, so bear in mind with small children.
All in all, we had a lovely time and the area has so many things to do I would thoroughly recommend staying here. In fact, my husband's boss also stayed here and enjoyed his holiday after our recommendation!

Reviewed 13 August 2012 for a stay in August 2012

We were a little worried that the sat nav had gone wrong when we ascended up a narrow country lane until half way up we saw the sign for PenyBryn.
On arrival we we greated by the spectacular panoramic views that wrap the cottage of the various mountain ranges and valleys.
the best feature of the cottage was the garden room which supperb to spend lazy mornings in.
the iron beds were very comfy and the roll top bath was lovely at the end of a days hiking.
it was odd to be disconnected from the world with no mobile signal or internet. But after a few days we accepted that as a blessing. didnt watch the TV all week either,

“Fabulous cottage in beautiful surroundings!”
Reviewed 2 August 2012 for a stay in July 2012

Penybryn Cottage is a true home from home! On arrival we were warmly greeted by Mark (ownner) and shown around the grounds and cottage. Penybryn was exactly as described and a whole lot more! The views are simply stunning and the garden much bigger than expected, much to the delight of our children aged 8 and 6. Lots of fun was had by them both and they totally enjoyed playing with the owners twin boys. The cottage has all the amenties a family would need and the wood burning stove is a bonus on cooler evenings! Our family would wholeheartedly recommend this cottage. We loved it so much we have booked again!
