In the days when youth was a smile and a dance. The years were the 90's when Goodtymes owner bought a runned down bar in Argonne Village. Yuppies were in, the bar was fresh, lots of brass and a middle class good bar. The music was live and everybody seemed to have a smile. Hot servers that loved hot white sugar often still showing signs from a restroom break. The owner, she was hard as nails and often threw those severs out immediately. Good for her.
Fast Forward, bar now moved south of I-90 next to the Holidays Inn. The bar was very classy, very upbeat and live music. Still the dance club in the valley. Fast forward, the bar now has stripper dance cages, the music is MP3 and the beat the wrong sound for me. The food is OK, I mean no trained chefs here. It is a good watering hole. The crowd highly downgraded from the yuppie days.
It was a GREAT TIME back in the days. Frankly rip the stripper cages, rearrange and make a great SPORT and poker card room bar.
Missed the 80's - 90's music and dancing. I smile because those were the days, much like the 50's rock n roll era. Those days are gone.
Dress now is mostly jeans, flip flops, occasional dress, and late 20-30 hip-hop club.
So much better without the smoke.
If you looking for a spot to move, and not dress up. This is the spot. Better than the Rainbow on Sprague. Ok that was a rip, and don't go to the later unless you are hardcore biker.
