It took a while to find the Gennaro Amitrano, hidden as it was in the maze of lovely little alleys in central Capri. So, unlike most restaurants in Capri, there was no sea view and the decor was minimilist. However, the food amply made up for the lack of view. We took the taster menu and enjoyed five wonderful courses, from the intriguing gazpacho soup , eggplant lasagna, delicious ravioli, fish with mushrooms and a delightful variation on creme brulee. The portions were not large, but all delicious and the service was impeccable.
