Outstanding ingredients, very well cooked, without the theatre and showiness that are so irritating in a lot of very good restaurants at the moment. Very good in its region.

Great restaurant! Must definitely visit this Dorset gem! We thoroughly enjoyed our scallops and Dorset crab starters. The fillet steak was beautiful and the venıson was very tender. All finished off wıth chocolate mousse torte and lemon tart wıth lemon curd ıce cream. Recommended to all.

Just had one of the most enjoyable meals ever. Great ingredients, cooked and served to an excellent standard. We had fillet steak and venison followed by black currant sorbet and summer pudding. Very enjoyable and is highly recommended.

The food was lovely and I would say good value. The atmosphere was a bit quiet with only one other party in the small restaurant, and as the background music was very quiet, which of course is better than it being too loud, but perhaps just turn it up a notch when there are so few people in there. The dauphinoise potato that accompanied our very tasty mains was fantastic, and the service was prompt, friendly and unobtrusive.

We were booked in here for a special birthday celebration by the hosts of our B&B. They had been warned about our daughter's food allergies and really went to extraordinary lengths to adapt their menu to her needs. Normally her choices are limited to one or two menu items but here they adapted almost every dish so she had lots of options. The table was decorated specially for us, and after a truly memorable meal the chef came out to join us at the end and join in our celebrations. Definitely the best fine dining option in the region, and one worth travelling some distance to visit and enjoy. Highly recommended
