It’s on the quiet side of Flores yet walking distance to the main street, dive centers and restaurants. The hotel room is rustic, decent size and comes with hot shower and free breakfast where you can order off the menu and they will deliver it outside of your room at your preferred time. I like Komodo Lodge being slightly further away from the main street as that means it is quiet at night (except when you during prayer times and it does happen at 4am!).

It’s also near to the fish market/street food area. Another important note is that the lodge is currently under renovation. Knocking sounds come about 8am (or the time I was woken up by it). The receptionist said that it will take at least a year for the entire project to complete (approximately in late-2018), which includes about 20 more room, redoing the reception area and building a pool.

The Komodo Lodge is perfectly located in the center of Labuan Bajo. It's a short 5 minute walk to tons of restaurants and dive shops. The spacious rooms are nice and clean and come with air conditioning. Breakfast is delivered to your room at the time of you conveniences. I really enjoyed the banana pancakes and great omlets.
The staff is really nice and helpful. Especially Diana at the front desk is really helpful (i.e. organizing motorbike rentals) and makes sure you have a nice stay.

This lodge can be a good solution for budget tourists or in general if the stay in Labuan Bajo is just a stop for another destination (we slept here 1 night before flying back home). The room are basic, a bit dark but clean with a good wifi connection.

The Komodo Lodge was good for what we needed: a quiet place for several days near to where we could boat to the Komodo dragon locale. Hotel infrastructure is fast developing in Labuan so there may very well be something new and better open soon. At the hotel itself, construction for more rooms was in progress during our stay. Everything was functional/basic — no frills, but clean with good wifi, and breakfast served at the room at time you pre-specify. Rooms higher up the stairs had open views, were bright, with aircon strong enough despite the sun. Without a nearby party vibe, the Lodge is quiet for early sleep as tours to Komodo start virtually at first light. Paying cash at the hotel was same as the online booking websites, but price seemed to change every day. Proprietor was offsite and had to be consulted by phone before the staff would do anything; despite appearances this apparently is not a family-owned and operated affair.

Room Tip: top level was nice

Situated outside of the hustle and bustle of the town centre, it is still very centrally located. They provide numerous services which would make you believe the property could charge more for. Airport pick-up, breakfast on demand, tours on property. Essentially they cater towards anything you could want. They're also far enough away from the local mosque (for those who are non-Muslim) which means that the adhan which are played over the speakers are hardly audible from the property. The staff are also very friendly and make you feel welcome in their business.
