Room

We booked a ocean front view room. The room was very nice with a typical local decor. We were just on top of the main bar. From 19 till aprox 22 dj was playing music which we didnt mind at all.

Food

We vistied all the restaurants. Food was decent. We enjoyed the japanese restaurants. Just be careful at the fish market they had to change our the bill 4 times. Seems the waiters don t know the menu.

The staff

Nothing to say, everybody was very helpfull and nice.

We stayed her in may 2016. We all had an amazing time. We were impressed by the luxurious feel to the hotel and grounds. The staff were all very friendly and could not have been more helpful whenever we had any interactions with them.
The first room we were given was on the fourth floor above the piano bar, the room was very noisy - only til 11pm every night but not appreciated by us. I spoke to the management who did everything to offer an alternate room. Was given room 5012, quiet and best sea view ever.
We booked through Thomson and had the use of sensatori kids club sessions, kids evening shows, which my daughter really enjoyed and 12 hour, daily in hotel reps who were very knowledgeable.
We were impressed with the sports facilities and programmes offered. There is a sports facility across the road, as my daughter was in training for a martial arts competition on return from holiday. I asked them if they could help provide somewhere to train. The staff there were exceptionally helpful. I personally cannot thank Monica enough, she is a certified Muay Thai trainer and spent much time training with my daughter, offering her support and sharing her excellent knowledge. My daughter enjoyed these sessions so much she actually chose this as her number 1 holiday activity, even over Loro Parque day trip. which is definitely worth the trip. We only used the Pangea buffet restaurant, and had no issues with it. We will be returning!!!

Room tip: sea view rooms are great, high floor away from piano bar.

This hotel is all bells and whistles, built in 2008 it is very glitzy, lots of marble, sparkle and stunning artwork and gardens.
It has several categories, Red Level (top of the bill) Club Melia, Sensatori and other tour operators and a conference centre. With 600 rooms there are eight restaurants, seven bars, five swimming pools (including an infinity pool, children's pool and Adults only pool) and a lake full of giant Koi Carp.
We stayed here for a week as part of our time share staying in the Club Melia, we had a small air conditioned suite with a balcony with a sea and pool view, small lounge, bedroom with a large bed, stunning bathroom with dual basins, large bath, waterfall shower (luxury Clarins shampoo, soap and shower gel was supplied and replaced as required) there is a small dressing area with two wardrobes and a little kitchenette type area in a cupboard (with a kettle, minibar and coffee maker. We also had a hairdryer, iron and ironing board, There was lots of ambient lighting throughout (which I found very complicated to work, hubby was o k though) we had a huge red circular light built into the bedroom ceiling that put me in mind of a small planet! We purchased the half board option (we were glad that we did as it would not have been possible to self cater, but if I came here again, I would probably only book breakfast as there are some lovely local bars and restaurants in the plaza within easy walking distance) The half board option gave us us access to the Pangua buffet for breakfast and dinner and 3 other restaurants for dinner (oasis, oceans and market grill) for dinner we went to each once and the food was nice and well presented, we did not have to pay for desserts as other people seemed to have had to, Oceans bar is like a greenhouse set in the middle of the square and it was boiling hot. On other nights we ate in the buffet. We could have eaten in the other fine dining options at a discounted price. There was a massive variety of choice in the buffet, including sparkiling wine at breakfast and gluten free options, my only complaints would be that the food was not very warm and sometimes not very well cooked (burnt pancakes at breakfast yuck) and there seemed to be a large business conference going on with what seemed like hundreds of delegates spoiling the overall ambience of a holiday atmosphere. I have never seen people take so much food at breakfast time can anyone really eat 3 bananas, 2 apples, 2 oranges, a pile of grapes and other stuff?
Not being big drinkers we did not upgrade to the drinks package 35 euros per person per day for the silver package, and found wine at 4 euros for a large glass reasonable but a small beer at 3.5 euros and a bottle of water at 5.7 euros expensive, my hubby did not like the beer Cruzcampo finding it a bit bitter so we enjoyed a walk after dinner to the local plaza where he enjoyed a large beer Alhambra for 2.5 euros and I had a lovely G &T in the very pleasant atmosphere of the Ecobar Planeta, where we were given a dish of olives on our first visit and some lovely cheese on toast on our second (some people from our hotel were enjoying a meal here and the food looked lovely) It seemed so much more reminscent of the real Tenerife the owners were lovely and very warm and welcoming despite the language differences we were able to have a laugh with them
If you are planning to stay in the hotel Nemos bar has a lovely relaxing adults only area with a pianist. Entertainment we did not really watch any of the shows so can't really comment but other people seemed to enjoy them. As Club Melia members we had a reserved sunbathing area near the infinity pool, but could have used the adults only or family pool (not the childrens or red level) we also had access to a lounge 10-7 with non alcoholic drinks available throughout the day and alcoholic drinks and snacks 6-7 pm in the evening. There are also about 500 books that are available to borrow, during the day from about lunchtime onwards there is also sparkling wine availble by the pool for club members. There is a small minimarket on site, but it is very expensive 4.95 euros for a packet of crisps I paid 1.65 euros for in the supermarket previously. There is a large Dino supermarket up off the main road and a small mini market right and second left out of the front of the hotel.
We go to Tenerife several times a year and this was our third visit this year we normally stay in the Torviscas/Adeje area where it is our thing to walk for miles along the coast, so we were disappointed that unless you have a car to get to the hills around Playa de Isora walking was very limited, my husband did walk as far as Los Gigantes but was bored with the limitations (if you like to get out and about probably best to hire a car) All staff were very pleasant and our room was cleaned to a very high standard everyday. Overall we had a really good holiday, but are unlikely to come back because of the location

Room tip: 1. Don't leave your food uncovered in the outdoor eating areas, the birds will have it and 2. Red Level looked best if you can afford it

This hotel is fantastic for couples and families alike. It offers everything you could possibly need in a beautiful setting with great facilities. A big pull is the lagoon pool which is gorgeous. I would recommend going B&B though or at least half board as although the restaurants in the resort are lovely they are expensive and the local town has amazing restaurants (resturante lupalo being one of them) at a fraction of the price.

Room tip: Book rooms facing the sea and not on the third floor as this is the same floor as reception and can be noisy.
