I spent 11 days at Hotel Augusta and loved every minute of it. I got the most simple room with garden views facing the back, but could look at the Mediterranean Sea every night during dinner or hanging out at the communal patio and meeting new travelers.

Very basic hotel with ample hospitality, delicious food, impressive views, and terrific location. Great for solo travelers and backpackers. Framura is a gem of a town! Quiet and peaceful with a very small center that has a cafe and two grocers. Hilly terrain with lots of steep inclines and steps. Multiple beaches and swimming points. Away from the Cinque Terre crowds, but very accessible by train to the five towns if one wishes to go there. I hiked all around Cinque Terre National Park during my stay and it was one of the highlights of my time there. One some days, I choose to stay in Framura and hang out around town. The hotel is about a 10 mins walk from the train station that is very steep, but manageable. Restaurant on site is wonderful with lots of options and decently priced.

Guests and staff would be up, playing music, and chatting until about 11pm. So if you're sensitive to noise, bring earplugs.

Good value for money and within walking distance of the station that can take you to Cinque Terre. But please note that it is a steep walk that can leave you a little breathless. The hotel rooms are small, basic and clean. There is free parking. To be honest it was a nice quiet getaway from the noise and crowds of Cinque Terre. You will need to take note that the train you take back does indeed stop at Framura or you may miss the stop.
Breakfast was fresh and sufficient. The hotel has the vibe of a family run affair and the staff are happy to help.
Visitors to the Cinque Terre should note that the walks between the towns are not open (at least they were not in 2017). So its best to plan your trip by train. I would advise buying a return ticket to the furthest town and then working your way back or you may end up having to buy multiple tickets that could really raise the cost of your travels.

I would come here again.

Room tip: good views if you book a room with a balcony

I stayed here with 3 friends and we all agreed that it was the high-light of our trip. Our rooms were very clean, quiet and had all the amenities one would need. We ate in the restaurant on all 3 nights we were there. The food was wonderful; Mario makes the best pizza we've had. All the staff were very helpful, polite and efficient. There is a steep hike to the hotel from the train station but it's easy to arrange for a ride when you arrive & leave. We hiked the hills around Framura, spectacular!

Typical Italian hospitality, excellent cuisine and 200 m from the train station. This is an ideal base for your visits to the Cinque Terre. It is just outside the busy tourist region; you will get value for money.

Hosts are very welcoming and maintain their hotel with excellence--very clean, great food & good prices. Location is a hike up the hillside, so I would recommend requesting transportation to/from hotel on travel days.

Room tip: Seaview rooms have spectacular views with balconies and chairs. Other rooms on back side of hotel do not have exposure to the sun.
