Bedding permanently damp, the cabin was under lots of trees so no natural light or sun warmed it up. No running hot water to wash your hands in wash room. The washroom entrance was a health and safety nightmare, due to the low roof structure, and roof supports, with no lights, and no plug to dry your hair. Hand basin was absolutely filthy. Dog poo on grass outside cabin. Barely room for 2 people to sit down in cabin, so be prepared to stay out all day if the weather is bad. The cabin is very dark, tricky to find things in your bags, or to read. Only stayed 3 nights out of 7. A bit more thought and care could have made this quite a good place to stay.

This experience is somewhere between Glamping and camping. But this set up gives complete isolation from other campers. We enjoyed the privacy of being alone in the garden area and the cosy feeling of being in the cabin. The garden is framed by sycamore trees and there are apple trees dotted about. The bathroom facilities near the house are extremely basic but shower worked really well, lovely and hot. If your over fussy and have little appreciation for rustic charm then you might not get it. Go back to Glamping and pay through the nose! We liked it and felt at home. It was a great base to visit Bude, Boscastle, and Tintagel. Next time we would take our bikes because cycling along the canal looks idyllic. Hetty the owner did everything she could to accommodate us. Even providing us with a place to plug in our cooler. There is a light in the cabin and you can charge phones but no electric other than this use. So we were saved from warm white wine with our BBQ food. We brought some of our own camping gear but that was just a preference, since basic cooking utensils are provided. I recommend a little gas camping fire for evening before bed to take chill off but that's just me I am a freezer. Additionally there is room for a couple of tents so I guess if you have a family you could all enjoy a relatively inexpensive holiday in Cornwall.
