We stayed 2 nights in the beach cabins with nothing to fault, and we are fussy , usually stay in 4-5 star resorts, and, although this is only rated around 3.5 stars, it’s all about the beach which is 3 steps from your cabin. The cabins are absolutely fine- clean, all the kitchen stuff, tv, aircon ( which you don’t need as there is the cooling sea breeze), wifi, good bed, even blinds to make it dark, parking at your door, and ,for us, very important - quiet.
We found the local Entrance Club good for bistro meals ( but expensive) but struggled to find a good cafe breakfast - did not like either of the two Bateau Bay cafes - better off have your own juices, fruits, cereal on your balcony plus a beaut. view which the cafes cannot offer.
The ocean for swims was crystal clear, clean and 23 deg.
We loved this place and can’t wait to return when we need to be rejuvenated by the sea and some relaxation.

My family booked 2 units on the beach front. Upon arrival the units were not very clean. They were dated and over priced. We went out for dinner, when we came back to the park the boom gate did not work and we had to phone security to let us in. The security guard was extremely rude and aggressive. Demanding us show him ID even though we had a key. I told him that he didn’t need to be so aggressive to which he stated if I didnt like it we could leave. He also threatened to kick us out of the park when I told him to watch his behaviour in front of my young girls. Disgusting power tripping individual.. avoid this place.

Fri night power went off and on for 10 min intervals for hour so it made for a very cold night
Sat wasn't as bad
Sun was a disaster, No toilet paper in any loo until about 1:30pm so I had to drive to the nears public toilets which was rediculous
Sun night the power problem returned off on off on off on all night so my last night of holidays was spent trying to keep warm laying in bed.
The staff did not offer any kind of discount to anyone in the park and believe me we all complained
I wouldn't have taken money off them but it would have been nice if they at least offered
So until this problem is fixed I would avoid it completely
Hopefully after everyone complaining it will be sorted out.
