A superb recently refurbished property in a great location next to an excellent pub in a beautiful valley. All the fittings are super quality and the Aga and open fires added to the cosy but spacious atmosphere. We had a super weekend for 10 and will no doubt return
Our group has met annually for 40 years and this ranks as the best accommodation

“Wonderful place to stay!”
Reviewed 30 December 2014 for a stay in December 2014

We really enjoyed spending our Christmas at Clifford House Farm. There was plenty of space for us all. It was very welcoming and there was a wonderful Aga oven in the kitchen that kept it warm the whole time - and by the end of the week I was converted to using it - wish we had space at home. It was great to come back after walking - in the valley and/or up over the hills - there are so many walks nearby - and a stone circle not far away - to make a log or coal fire in the two sitting rooms. Really cosy way to spend an evening. There are also lots of local pubs - one just round the corner, but the best was The George, in Hubberholme - where we always had such a warm welcome. The local beer and food were great - well worth the walk up the valley. Highly recommended!

80th Birthday celebration and we couldn't have chosen a more ideal property for 11 of us. Ages from 2 - 80 meant that there was enough space for all of us and the two lounges allowed some privacy/quiet, but the wonderful kitchen complete with Aga allowed us all to sit together at meal times. Bedrooms very nicely decorated and spacious and the beds were comfy, cosy and warm. The only downside would be the pressure to the main shower, its very weak and complete lack of wifi.
The coal fires added to the lovely cosy feeling and were most welcome at the end of a busy day. A perfect place to relax & unwind and with the Buck Inn literally around the corner, with good food and a warm welcome, we found this a great place to recharge our batteries.

“great place”
Reviewed 8 October 2012 for a stay in October 2012

gorgeous spacious but cosy cottage. wonderful kitchen with aga and a huge dining table, ideal for evening gatherings. fully equipped with all you could want or need. both sitting rooms with open fites. 50 yards from the buck inn, which was great. pretty village and on the doorstep for many walks. bedrooms were good , very pretty.
only critisism was the shower head in the main bathroom , it was a trickle.
