This is such a true Osteria.
Located in the hills and along the road, this wonderful place serves decent italian food, Osteria style.
We came without reservation but was just as welcome and had a table right next to the window to the kitchen.
We could sit there a follow the cooking, very reassuring that the kitchen has nothing to hide.
We struggle a bit with our Italian and try our best to get through the menu but needed help from the waiter, and he was most helpful in guiding us through all the dishes.
We decided to skip the starter and go for main course and dessert.
He: Guincia di maiale and she : pollo cacciatora, and to be honest I normally don't choose casarolles when dining out, but I am really glad that I did, it was delicious.
We had ordered tiramisu but it was sold out so in stead we had a lovely chocolate cake (warm) with vanilla ice cream, no need to write that it was good.
Saw that other customers had risotto and another table the cheese selection,
all looked very nice.
The place is so authentic and the cooking honest and very tasty, a place that I highly recommend and would love to revisit.
