“Unique accommodation”
Reviewed 10 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

The accommodation is gorgeous! Lovely spacious rooms full of character designed to retain the original features of this beautiful 17th century manor with thoughtful presentation. It even had a novel featuring the house waiting on the coffee table.

The holiday park surrounding the manor is unobtrusive but you can use their facilities, there is a small pool suitable for young children, tennis, pitch and putt and a basic bar which serves child friendly food.

We used it as a base for all the fantastic inland and coastal walking; would recommend the gastro pub in Gulval and the Lighthouse inn in Marazion for the best view of any pub garden!

“Perfect base.”

A very pleasant, quiet, spacious, comfortable, well appointed apartment. Good comms with the obliging and helpful property owner. Complimentary scones, clotted cream, jam, milk, wine and fresh flowers waiting on arrival. The apartment is not quite as pristine as shown in the advert photos and now looks a little ‘lived in’ in places. We found that the hot water needed a little managing and ran out after running one bath and one shower even with the ‘extra hot water’ override switched on. There is plenty of car parking but this is not located right next to the apartment, there is a diveway, some steps and a gravel path to negotiate.
We did not use the onsite leisure facilities but our overall impression of the park and clubhouse was that it is ordinary and a little shabby. The pool itself is a children’s fun pool and not suitable for lane swimming.
Short walk across the fields using the footpath immediately opposite the park entrance to the excellent Coldsteamers Arms in Gulval. Superb beer, fish and chips and Sirloin Steak.

“Lovely apartment. Clean, convenient, great location.”

The apartment was clean and comfortably furnished with all household and entertainment utilities provided and working well. Ample size for the four of us. There was a very pleasant welcome for us when we arrived.
The location is great for what we were doing which was little day trips and sightseeing around this part of Cornwall. We didn't use any of the park facilities as we were only here for 3 days. So I can't comment on them.
Overall I'm happy with what we got and would stay again.
I recommend a walk to The Coldstreamer pub in the evening for very good food and drink. Look for the stone steps across the road from the entrance to the Kenegie Manor and follow the beaten track that follows the hedges. Mind one of the sets of stone steps along the way as it's a bit dodgy.

“This accomodation was perfect in every way”
Reviewed 1 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

What a lovely welcome with fresh flowers in the lounge, a Cornish Cream Tea waiting to be eaten and a delicious bottle of wine. The rooms are spacious and airy with a really comfortable bed. The location of the apartment is ideally situated with several beaches only a short car drive away. It was very easy to get to the many attractions in this area including a day trip to the Isles of Scilly. We will certainly stay here again.

“Luxury and comfortable apartment. Highly recommended.”
Reviewed 2 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Darren was very helpful with the instructions/details prior to arriving at the apartment. The apartment didn't disappoint! Furnished to a high standard throughout with Laura Ashley pieces, it was very clean, comfortable and well equipped in the kitchen. It was also lovely and quiet and you couldn't hear any noise from other apartments.

The welcome tray was very thoughtful with a lovely bottle of wine, cream tea and newspaper as well as fresh flowers. Being able to use the swimming pool was a fantastic benefit and there is a small kids outdoor play area and tennis courts too. Safe ample parking.

Great location too, only a 5 minute drive to Penzance where there is a large Sainsburys, Tesco and Morrisons. Great trip to St Michael's Mount (5/10 mins)15 minutes to St Ives.

Highly recommended and we hope we can secure it next year too!
