We stayed for one night at The Coldstreamer before travelling over to the Isles of Scilly. We had dinner there on the evening we arrived and the food was excellent - as was the real ale. We had squid for starters which was beautifully cooked, as was the fish for main course. Our room was basic, but comfortable, and perfectly adequate for our needs. The cooked breakfast the following morning was very good, although there was a fairly limited choice of cereals to start with. One thing to be aware of is that the pub has no car park and we had to leave our car on the street outside overnight, albeit that this did not result in any problems.

Room Tip: The rooms at the front overlook the road where cars are parked and also have a view of the old church.

Nice big rooms and clean. We were initially a little unsure about going through the bar and up to our rooms but actually it was okay. At night I could hear music from my room but I'm not sure where it was coming from - might have been the pub but it was difficult to tell.

In the evening we had a snack in the bar which was lovely. However, breakfast was also served in the bar as opposed to the restaurant which I thought was a pity – it just didn't seem right. Nevertheless breakfast was good with delicious bread/toast.

We stay for a night and we were looked after by Derek the host in every way possible.he drove us into Penzance in the morning.the food was excellent.we heard the church bells early in the morning but unless you were awake you would not notice.Derek helped in giving information on where to go and on local history.we would you stayed longer but it was booked out.We consider the food served was the best we have had in the UK in the 3 or so weeks we have been travelling.Best rest we have had.look forward to visiting again

We stopped at this Pub “by accident” on our tour of Cornwall. What a place and what a staff. We were laughing from we entered the bar, until we left late in the evening. The bartender was really funny and it was apparent that many of the locals played along. The food was great and they had a wide range of ales form all over England. The Chef was very attentive and took time to chat with the guests after they finished their meal. We would absolutely recommend this Pub. It was probably the best Pub we visited on our Cornwall tour.

Stayed at The Coldstreamer for two nights , from the moment we arrived we were looked very well after by Derek , nothing to was to much trouble ,, he even run us into Penzance due to not being able to get a taxi ,,, the rest of the staff were great also ,, Vincent and Nancy were very friendly and super efficient .. We found its location brilliant for all the major tourist attractions ,The Lizard , St Michaels mount ,Lands End and the Minack Theatre and loads more ,, ask Derek and he will guide you on some great places to visit . We had dinner on saturday night in the Coldstreamer , it was very busy but never have I ever seen a place so well run by three people front of house ,, as for the chefs the food they turn out was fantastic ,, the room was perfect , clean comfortable and warm

Would definately use this place again ,, maybe next time to travel to the Scilly isles
A big thankyou Glenn and Ash
