“An excellent holiday let in a perfect location.”
Reviewed 13 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

We have just got back from a week's stay at The Salty Dog and have had a great week. It's a really lovely, modern house with everything you need to live comfortably for the week. We wanted somewhere good to stay with our three children and our dog. There was plenty of space for us all, the children had a fantastic playroom with plenty of games, table football and a play station to keep them occupied when it rained and we were less than five minutes from the beach when the sun shone which the dog (and the kids) thought was fab. The dunes were great for adventures and the beach went on for miles. The whole family would definitely recommend The Salty Dog for a holiday destination. I don't doubt we'll be back.

Salty Dog is a great house for a holiday within walking distance of the amazing Camber Sands beach.
The house is modern, very clean and well equipped, there is a fully equipped kitchen and even a play room for kids.
The small garden (half decking and half shingle) is very dog proof.
We were very comfortable, and the dogs had an amazing time on the dog friendly beach.
Its a short drive into Rye which is must to visit if you like interesting towns with lots of specialist shops, if you want a good pint in Rye I recommend the Ypres next to the Castle, the area has plenty of dog friendly pubs including The Green Owl which is a five minute stroll from Salty Dog. Salts Farm shop close by sells some great food including excellent ready for the oven meals.

“Perfect Home from Home”
Reviewed 23 November 2013 for a stay in October 2013

We spent a weekend here with friends and everything worked perfectly. The whole accommodation was very clean, comfortable and practical. All bedrooms had King sized beds with lovely fresh cotton bedlinen. The kitchen, dining area and lounge were good sizes for the 6 of us and there were things in the play room to occupy us when it rained. I can't think of anything that needs improving. It was just perfect. The owners have put a lot of time & effort into making sure the house is suitable for everyone. We can't wait to take our Grandchildren there next year. The beach is just five minuets away and is perfect for kids & adults.
Rye and Winchelsea are close by and we enjoyed walking from one to the other and back again. We would certainly recommend " Let's unwind" for 5 star holiday lets

“Great weekend away”
Reviewed 28 October 2013 for a stay in September 2013

Having not stayed in private rental accommodation before we were not sure what to expect, happily The Salty Dog did not disappoint. My husband and I stayed for 3 nights with our 18 month old son. The house was well quipped for toddlers with stair gates, socket covers, high chairs and toys. This meant a lot less to pack! The beach is a bit inaccessible with a buggy through the recommended route of 5 minutes, but a 10 minute walk down the road and through one of the several car parks was much easier. The beach is just brilliant for a toddler and sandcastle making. We were delighted to find sandcastle buckets in the garage and spent a happy afternoon on the beach as we were blessed with some sun. The nearest town is Rye which has places to eat and shops to explore, plus toddler friendly things to do within a 30 minute drive. There is also a fantastic Indian takeaway in Camber which delivers.

As there was just the 3 of us it was quite an expensive break but if you had 3 couples plus a couple of toddlers in travel cots it would be a real bargain. Would recommend.
