“A perfect base for a mid borders break!”

The fantastic owners have thought of everything you would want rather than everything you would need and it makes a huge difference! Whatever your plans are for the borders this is a perfect place to launch from; but take some time to enjoy the space they've worked so hard on, I am certain you'll love as much as we did!

“Superb”

Beautiful converted barns with very tasteful decor and extremely comfortable beds! Ken and Ruth are natural hosts and made the stay very relaxing and enjoyable. Can't think of anything negative to say!

“Well equipped tranquil stay”
Reviewed 1 July 2014 for a stay in June 2014

Just returned from a long weekend at Dukes Farm. The barn has everything you might possibly need. Ruth even left a baby bath and changing mat out for us. We don't normally go back to the same place but it will be difficult not to return for a third visit!

“A stunning view and a wonderful place to stay”
Reviewed 27 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Yet another wonderful stay at Duke's Farm. This must be our fourth stay and as usual Ruth and Ken were wonderful hosts. Everything is catered for - Ruth thinks of everything - it really does feel like coming home. The accommodation is of a high standard with plenty of character, and the terrace and views are exceptional - can't think of anywhere else I'd rather be in this country. We would certainly recommend Duke's Farm, even though we're a bit reluctant to tell everyone about it! Thanks again Ruth and Ken, and hope to see you in the future.

“Fantastic rural retreat on the Welsh borders”
Reviewed 12 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Dukes farm is a complex of beautiful old farm buildings settled on a south facing valley slope with a magnificent vista towards the Brecon Beacons. One could sit on the terrace all day just taking in the view. There are three units - all converted from their original farm usage, into living accommodation which sympathetically retains all the charm of their heritage but provides contemporary facilities (en-suites, king size beds, log burners etc) we all expect.
There are great walks to be had - notably up onto 'the Cats Back', the Black mountains and gentler stuff. Hay on Wye is half an hour away for those wanting gentler walking along the river or, of course, lots of book shops (and high clothing shops!).
We really enjoyed our stay.
