Thank you again to Walter and Agnes for their welcoming and kindness. The cottage is ideally situated to a fast access to Stirling, Glasgow or Edinburgh by the motorway. The house is in a very quiet place. It is spacious, very well equiped with a pretty view on the meadows at the rear. Beds are very confortable, the kitchen is very well equiped and we have very appreciated the fridge full of goods on arrival. Even the weather that were a little too much "scottish" make us enjoy the soft ground heating.
We highly recommand this cottage.

Dear Charles,
It was a pleasure to meet you and your family and welcome you on your first visit to Scotland, from France. I hope our Scottish weather does nor put you off visiting Scotland again. We always aim to have some supplies available, on arrival, for our guests, so you don't have to rush off, after a long journey, to get supplies.
Thank ypou again for choosing our cottage.

“Exceptional farm accommodation. 5+ stars.”
Reviewed 7 May 2016 for a stay in April 2016

This spacious farm property overlooks lush green paddocks with black-faced sheep, and lambs frolicking. Is was once an old barn and has been renovated with careful attention to detail. The new glass observatory captures the sun on cold spring days. Under- floor heating, and a heat retention system keep the room temperature just right. Self-catering with excellent facilities - free wifi, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, stove, microwave, big fridge / freezer. Great hot water. All kitchen and laundry products supplied (even boot polish!) We were welcomed with a very generous food pack, and our hosts walked us through the property so we knew how everything worked. There is a large flat-screen TV and a stock of videos, books and games. There is a local pub within walking distance (The Swan) which serves very good pub meals in a cheerful friendly atmosphere.
The1645 Battle of Kilsyth battlefield is nearby - reached by a pleasant walk by Banton Loch. Also walking the nearby Antonine Wall (Roman) is a great day out. It is an easy drive to Glasgow and to Stirling, and of course, Kilsyth.

“WONDERFUL! Clean and charming... with all the amenities of home! Hosts were terrific!!”
Reviewed 16 April 2015 for a stay in May 2013

We stayed for a week in this charming cottage!!! It was WONDERFUL even then... but since our stay, they have added a conservatory!!! The refrigerator and cupboards were stocked with many staple items... AND... EXTRA "Goodies"!! The kitchen was well supplied... so was the rest of the cottage. If we needed something... our hosts went out of their way to be helpful!! We had guests over for a small get together and it had ample space inside and also for parking. It is in the country, yet close to Stirling, Glasgow and other larger towns. There were many historical sights in a fairly close proximity. We had hired a car, so there was no problem getting anywhere we wanted to go. I'm not sure if there is any type of public transportation close by. That MIGHT be a drawback for some who aren't comfortable driving on the left side of the road. We loved driving around... and the Scottish drivers are quite forgiving. I will DEFINITELY return!!
