Often we drove past with no idea what’s on the inside. Probably one of the most beautiful places in the Western Cape. Sculptured gardens displaying some of the variety the Western Cape has to offer, with plenty of bird life and a beautifull stream snd waterfall. Well worth the visit

A truly amazing experience in October of 2017. The staff were very friendly and went the extra mile in advising, helping and accommodating us, and all this with absolute genuineness and willingness. The gardens and surrounds were very well kept and attended to, and was in a beautiful state after some winter rains. Probably the best National or Regional Botanical Garden I have been to in South Africa in terms of being maintained. Well done! And being in the mountainous/oceanic setting that it is, it is a truly special place. All in all, a great experience.

P.S. Be sure to not only wander in the Garden, but also to walk the easy walk up to one or both of the water falls in the two adjacent gorges. Especially Leopard's Kloof Waterfall (can be done in 30 minutes of easy walking one way) is spectacular - go right to the top!

A gem in small unknown Betty's Bay, a well kept botanical garden with lots of indigenous species of plants, especially proteas. Various short walks. Lovely restaurant with good food, coffee and craft beer.

The drought was playing havoc with the spring flowering but the birds were happy while the wind was not blowing! There are some interesting walks for the able bodied but some easy strolls for those less able. Nicely planted with beautiful indigenous plants which attract numerous birds. Well worth visiting.

Lovely formal gardens with a great diversity of plants . Longer wilderness trails open to all and some very long trails which you have to have a key to access . Plenty of baboons around. Nice waterfall easily accessible
Cafe and clean toilets
